Yes, it's the first of two DJ sets from Glastonbury 2023 - A lovely Thursday afternoon, exactly the same time of day as the year before (you can see why I asked for the same set again...), again everyone was in a supremely cheerful mood with the whole weekend ahead of 'em, and again the weather was simmering beautifully, so we joined in with a whole raft of solid gold re-edits and remixes, some you'll know well and some you won't...

A mix to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Ty's Mercury Award nominated sophomore album ’Upwards’; one of the most influential British hip hop albums & artists of all time.

Tracks in the mix range from 1994 to 2019, as well as clips from the ‘Upwards’ tour shows at Montreux Jazz Festival, Moles in Bath & Belfast for BBC Music Live, 2004.

A salute to the late great Mayor of Brixton.

- BBC Music Live was originally broadcast on BBC 6 Music & 1Xtra, hosted by Craig Charles & Rodney P.
- Both those gigs and the Montreux Jazz Festival show took place in 2004, during the Upwards tour.
- The live band included Eska, Sewuese, Phillip Harper & Richard Spaven, amongst others.
- Labels that released Ty’s work included Big Dada, BBE, Tru Thoughts, Jazz:Refreshed & a skit for First Word.
