Kleyah (Claire Pamella Kamahoro)is a songwriter and recording artist currently living in Tanzania. She holds a Degree in Communications from University of Phoenix in USA and will be completing her Master’s degree in International Management in March 2016.
In a bid to follow her childhood passion for music, Kleyah left her corporate career at UNDP where she was a communications Consultant where one of her assignments was being publicist to visiting, former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark on wildlife conservation in 2014.
In late 2014, She teamed up with celebrated Tanzanian vocal coach, Joett; pianist Luigi Tamburi and Musician Mzungu Kichaa to craft her first two self-written Singles “Lover’s Eyes and Don’t Slay me” which were produced by legendary Kenyan producer Lucas Bikedo of famed video production outfit Ogopa DJ. In September Kleyah teamed up with renowned Tanzanian artist “Barnaba Classic” on her first collaboration Single Titled “Msobe Msobe”. The single was officially release on major Radio stations in Tanzania and Uganda on 6th November 2015 and on Major blogs like Bongo 5 and Millardayo.com. Its Video will be released on all major Tanzania TVs and Her Vevo channel in the 3rd week of November 2015. Stay tuned.
Kleyah is currently working with different celebrated producers in Tanzania recording songs for her first album which she anticipates to release by July 2016. It is going to be a mixture of POP, neo-soul, afro electro, and afro beat and some surprise collaborations.
 Setting her eyes on being unique, Kleyah’s story of passion for music, yet never losing sight of getting a good foundation in education, is set to inspire others in more ways than one right across the African Diaspora and beyond.
