Thick Basslines fueled with hypnotic melodies and spacy elements are about to put you into another dimension. For 1 hour he doesn’t move his foot from the throttle and still keeps progressing through his set. His forward moving style of minimal techno gets very deep and dark at times and lights up again with playful psyelements. 

Born and raised in Mainz SPEZI. is now found in Berlin, where this young talent already had a few gigs. His musical path already crossed  Places like AVA Berlin (Die jungen Wilden), Anita Berber & other Open Airs in Berlin. We are excited to hear more from this young man in the future but for now put the volume up and enjoy the ride!

Die MS Zwischenmiete sticht wieder in See, nachdem sie sich lange in Reparatur befand. Aber die Segel sind gehießt und es geht wieder los und für die Jungfernfahrt haben wir uns ein dickes Kaliber mit auf Deck genommen, wir freuen uns euch, mexCalito vorstellen zu dürfen.

Ein echter Kölscher ist mexCalito, geboren in Ehrenfeld, ist das Kölner In-Veedel immer noch sein Lebensmittelpunkt. Nur im Winter verlässt der Weltenbummler seine Herzensstadt, um sich im sonnigen Thailand, dem grau in grau des deutschen Winters zu entziehen. Glücklicherweise berichtet er uns, darf er dieses Glück mit einer Residency, in der Peace & Love Bar auf Koh-Phangan, an einem Traumstrand gelegen, verbinden. 

Musikalisch wurde er zuerst von dem Plattenkoffer seiner Mutter erzogen und geprägt. „Alles was die 60er und 70er Glorreiches zu bieten hatten, von Eric Burdon über die The Doors zu Jimi Hendrix, abgedriftet dann zu dem deutschen psychedelic Rock "Krautrock" dann aber auch einfach Weltmusik und elektronischer Feiermusik...immer gerne psychedelisch!!“

Eigentlich wollte mexCalito, nie DJ sein  sondern lieber eigene Musik produzieren. In seinem FSJ in Barcelona hat er „zwei verrückte Deutsche“ kennengelernt, einer von den Beiden hat ihn zu CUBASE gebracht, womit er bis heute seine Tracks bastelt. Durch die enge Verzahnung vom Musik produzieren und Djing kam eins zum anderen und mittlerweile findet man ihn sehr oft hinter den Turntables bzw. CDJs zocken.

Für uns hat der werte Herr eine musikalische Geschichte kreiert, welche euch durch einen gekonnt gesetzten roten Faden durch die verschiedenen Genres der elektronischen Musik führt. 

Wir bedanken uns bei dem Protagonisten für das starke Set und wünschen Euch viel Spaß damit!

Prädikat: Wie schon fertig, hör ich mir direkt noch mal an!
