Yoshitaka Shirakura is a DJ and organizer specializing in Techno, Ambient, and Avant-garde. Since 2015, he has been actively booking Avant-garde live performances at dance parties, connecting genres and expanding new horizons. In 2019, he will start solo Drone live performance with bass guitar. Currently, he has started to produce music and has released two tracks.

"Konvektion". Hosts Techno and Avant-garde party with Takaaki Itoh and DJ Yazi.

"Shindou". Drone, Sound art, and Improvisation party with Kyosuke Terada at Ochiai Soup.

It's been a year since I uploaded my last Safe Radio episode. Damn. That was certainly not my intention. I actually had in mind to do three to four episodes a year, but it only came down to one due to various reasons [read: L I F E!]. It was a long one, though. hehe.

But here we are! FINALLY another episode in the Safe Radio series. I'm very happy and excited about the result, but moreso relieved that I already now have planned out episode two in season seven. It means that I'm on the path of doing four this year. So far at least. Hell yeah! 

This first episode of season seven includes no less than sixty nine tracks ranging from my favorite headphone music over hazy downtempo and japanese dub to no nonsense club trax. Different styles, tempos, old, new, unreleased - u name it. 

If you're still reading this long post I'd like to express my gratitude to all the people [still] supporting and listening to my stuff. It truly means a lot. Especially when I put so much energy and time into what I do. THANK YOU! 

Lastly I'd like to say that I'll be looking for shows over the coming autumn and winter. Will be posting about it in the coming weeks, but feel free to HMU if you're interested in bringing me to your club/show/event/whatever!

For the second edition of our new podcast series, we are happy to welcome Anna. Hailing from Japan's deep northern island Hokkaido, Anna is a Sapporo-based vinyl-only-selector. Known for her exquisite collection of vinyl that as easily contains krautrock as it does ambient, experimental, IDM, or indie records, she is someone we are pleased to have for our 2nd podcast. Locally known for her events "秘宝館 Hihokan," which centers around psychedelic music experiences, one can expect a similar pathway in this podcast. Sit back, or ideally, even lay back and let the mind engage in a dialogue with sound.
