East Oakland Bounce (Duffrey's North Oakland Shred)

This one all began with the bells, a tiny xylophone played by Amma Li during a collaborative vacation with Mas of Citta Flow. Then came the bassline and Amma's sweet vocals. It sat for a while and later blossomed into a thick and mysterious adventure through melody and percussive play.

Wings is also featured on the Mycelium Music Compilation Vol. 3 that supports the

Exactly one year after my 2024 release entitled 'Public Relations', I return with a collection of 15 new tracks that were produced between the middle of 2024 and early 2025.

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic synthesizers/drum machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, JX-8P, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to my studio like Oberheim OB-6 Hydrasynth, System 8, MC-707, MicroFreak, Prophet Rev2, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

A majority of the songs on this album were recorded in only one take in my home studio and recorded to high-quality video as well. The same recordings heard on this album can be seen performed live on YouTube. www.youtube.com/@JohanSebastianBot/videos

Cofresi skillfully displays a flair for fusing electronic genres in his newest release ‘CODA’, out now on Gravitas Recordings. Well known for his hybrid DJ-drummer live performances, the Chicago-based producer comes correct with five songs that blend influences from various bass heavy classifications. ‘CODA’ employs a diverse array of musical elements; unique vocal samples, thrilling drops and smooth synths are carefully utilized to capture the listener’s attention throughout.

Kicking off the EP, “Hold Me” brings a sensuous sound by way of dreamy lyrics and a lucious rhythm. The soulfully upbeat “Jello” segways the album into a faster pace, making way for the hard-hitting “Origami”. Voluptuous harmonies in “Losing Myself” juxtapose with stimulating synthesis, keeping the audience on their toes. “Crown” features the poetic hip-hop stylings of Calib, ending ‘CODA’ with an energetic bang.
