SR002 is the second chapter of Burden' Self-release series. 

"Althea's Riot" was produced during summer 2020 after playing for the first time in Greece. 
Althea is a quiet beach located 30km south of Athens, surmounted by an abandoned hotel composed of a terraced concrete structure overlooking the sea. 
It was the most beautiful place to throw a rave and It was such an amazing experience being able to play my music there in the early hours of the morning. 

The loopy overwhelming bassline in opposition to the bright granular chords aim to recreate the atmosphere of that morning, the 4/4 pounding groove with a joyful vibe.

Continuing on the deep exploration within and without, Observer Station my own and favourite platform to release music is home for “Parallel” EP. 

Aiming at trying to put the focus on the sounds, the noise, the harmonics and the music created from the interactions of all the elements within a track, and the reflection of the room it’s being listened to. The music in between the music, traces from the parallel dimensions that co-exists in time with ours.

Alarico debuts on Klockworks with a flawless four tracker of classy yet gritty pure driving techno. The Milan based DJ and producer Alarico started his journey in 2015 with a style strongly shaped by the raw and forward-leaning sound of 90’s Techno. Known for fast paced rhythms and kinky grooves he left his signature on labels such as Newrhytmic Records, Mutual Rytm, his imprint Katana Records and he now continues to explore the depths and possibilities of sound with his debut on Ben Klock’s Klockworks.

Over four tracks he cycles between classy, minimalistic effectiveness and rough edged grimy vibes perfectly matching the label’s sound with his unique take on techno. The EP kicks off with the raw stomping groove of ‘AF 97’ building up the tension to be followed by the unstoppable rolling drift of ‘Chromo’, while on the flip-side ‘Lost In Lima’ takes the listener on a sonic journey of frenetic tribal rhythms and closing track ‘Nisba’ is a restless techno track showcasing droning, hypnotic sound design and effortless elegance.

Born in Marseille and based in Paris, Hemka has been shaping her take on techno for over a decade, steadily growing her international presence with music on respected imprints such as Token. ‘Abyss’ kicks off with tightly coiled, heavy-hitting drum funk and eerie synths that never let up while ghoulish vocals layer in extra darkness and anxiety. ‘Time’ is another sleek, stripped-back but banging wedge of linear techno excellence and ‘I Can't Shine’ layers up paranoid vocals with high-speed glitches and rubbery drums to ensure maximum impact in the club. The excellence continues with ‘The Bad Place’ with booming drums and moody synth atmospheres, getting you up on your toes and keeping you there. Last, ‘Unchanged’ fizzes with static electricity as wordless vocals refract around the mix next to wispy synths and icy hi-hats. Digital bonus cuts ‘Voice In My Head’ and ‘Eternity’ round things out with more heady and intense techno for driving deep into the night.
