The purpose of this sūtra is to help sentient beings—any being that has the capacity to feel—in a troubled and tumultuous world. According to the sūtra, all beings can overcome suffering and achieve happiness, leading to greater prosperity and longevity. Its intention is to remove our karmic obstacles, eliminate disasters and calamities, dispel enmity and hatred, fulfill all wishes, and guide us quickly onto the path of the Buddha.

namo bhagavate trailokiya prati vishishṭaya buddhāya bhagavate tad-yathā, om, vishodhaya vishodhaya, asama-sama
samantāvabhāsa-spharana gati gahana shvabhāva vishhuddhe,
abhishiň chatu mām. sugata vara vachana am-ṛita abhishekai mahā mantra-padai.
āhara āhara āyuh saṃ-dhāraṇi. shodhaya shodhaya gagana vishuddhe.
uṣhṇīṣha vijaya viśhuddhe sahasra-raśhmi sam-chodite.
sarva tathāgata avalokani ṣhaṭ-pāramitā-paripūrani.
sarva tathāgata mati daśha-bhūmi prati-ṣṭhite.
sarva tathāgata hṛdaya adhiṣhṭhā-nādhiṣhṭhita mahā-mudré.
vajra kāya sam-hatana viśhuddhe.
sarvāvaraṇa apāya-durgati pari viśhuddhe, prati-nivartaya āyuh śhuddhé.
samaya adhiṣhṭhite. maṇi maṇi mahā maṇi.
tathatā bhūta-koṭi pariśhuddhe. visphuṭa buddhi śhuddhé.
jaya jaya, vijaya vijaya. smara smara, sarva buddha adhiṣṭhita śhuddhé,
vajri vajragarbhe vajram bhavatu mama śharīram.
sarva sattvānām cha kāya pari viśhuddhe. sarva gati pariśhuddhe.
sarva tathāgata siñcha me samāśhvāsayantu.
sarva tathāgata samāśhvāsa adhiṣṭhite.
bud-hya bud-hya, vibud-hya vibud-hya,
bodhaya bodhaya, vibodhaya vibodhaya samanta pariśhuddhe.
sarva tathāgata hṛdaya adhiṣhṭhā-nādhiṣhṭhita mahā-mudre svāhā.
