Klose One Boiler Room London DJ Set

This week we're pleased to present a mix from a guy we’ve been trying to pin down for a while now, Ruiari Kennedy aka @Klose-One, one of London’s finest selectors. Often described as a DJ’s DJ, his mixing skills and tune selections coupled with his control and composure behind the decks has garnered him respect from artists, producers and fans alike. A member of Leofah’s Swamp 81 crew and regular guest of Stanza’s Stripes Records, Klose’s DJ sets range from deep and upfront house, garage, techno and bass music through to the occasional bashment, ragga and soca.

Recently moving into the world of production, Klose One is set to release his debut EP in the near future, but now, ahead of his set at i-D Mix’s secret party in the woods at Bestival 2015, we welcome him into the mix for i-D. Warm up for the weekend, up the levels and hit play.

Rolling through the realms of house, techno and the darkish of UK bass music, the Swamp81 affiliate now steps out into his own with his new label and project One One One. The project is in collaboration with up with classically trained German musician, composer and producer Soundcloud.com/clausfuss Claus Fuss, and is as you imagined from the style of Klose's DJ sets, deep dark with shimmers of light that shine through for that extra subtle element of finesse.
