With her impeccable ability to design techno tracks that keep the party goin' long & strong from night til dawn, Shay De Castro dazzles listeners with heavy kick right from the beginning along with driving sub basslines, spectacular synth and fx sounds that beam from the lefts to the rights giving an atmospheric essence to the track. All leading to exceptional drops that fill in with 4/4 drum rolls and hypnotic piano melodies that are later introduced on the peak of the track, making a resounding impact and generating results that listeners can't get enough of.
Joined by the sensational underground talents of Giacomo Stallone for a remix of Shay De Castro's latest cut. A relentlessly entertaining approach of the track in a more raw techno mood. Fast rhythm filled by fat sub kicks with open hi hats on the lifting, bringing an old school feel into the track. An exploratory use of the original synth sounds and synths blended with disorted, reverted rhythmic effects and some brilliant breakdowns making it perfect for the peak hour play.
The special guest artwork designer of this release is Berlin based artist TrippieSteff whose surreal colourful animations surrender the cover artwork presenting the Trippin unicorn composition.

The Awesome Soundwave label will start 2020 as it means to go on: with an essential new album from Honeysmack that once again raises the bar for Carl Cox's influential label. Recorded live over two days in Coxy’s El Rancho studio, the album is an amalgamation of expansive modular sounds, the likes of which were carefully edited into what you hear now. This truly is an album that bares all the hallmarks of a producer who is currently working on a PHD in acid techno and improved electronic music. 

Honeysmack is an Australian electronic dance music producer, live artist and DJ who has been at the forefront of the Aussie acid house and techno scene since the 1990s. He has worked with notable labels like Sony, Shock Records and Kickin Records under a wide range of aliases. Using vintage hardware and a renegade's approach, he brings real dynamism to his live shows and studio sounds and remain a pioneering force. This new album is his fourth since 1997 and offers nine tracks of exquisite and absorbing techno that head in bold new directions.

Radio Slave drops full release of 2019’s mysterious white label, ’Silent Witness’.

Originally released in the summer of 2019 under the name Silent Witness and titled ‘Year Of The Snake’, Radio Slave’s ’Silent Witness’ is a two track single that sees the British artist delve into his late eighties/early nineties bleep influences. The title track’s insistent, no-messing staccato groove and tightly looped discordant tones fall firmly into the ‘face melter’ area of the racks while the flip’s ‘Year of the Snake’ takes a moodier path that screams late night tension.

With a three part LP and numerous singles slated for release, 2020 is shaping up to be Radio Slave’s aka Matthew Edwards most productive year to date. From a producer with hundreds of tracks and countless aliases and side projects where the quality threshold never dips, it’s an incredible feat.

Christian, alias C. Clearly, discovered his enthusiasm for electronic music in the late 1980s when wave, punk and EBM were still played on the same night in independent clubs in Germany. When techno became popular in the early 1990s, Christian spent his nights dancing and partying in Frankfurt clubs like 'Omen' and 'Dorian Gray'. Yet he didn't discover the turntables until in his 50s. In his mixes, electronic and techno appear in a variety of ways - melodious at times, or grooving, but usually straightforward and with a driving beat. Mind your breathing - and enjoy the beauty of the present moment.
