So langsam werden wir international!

Heute grüßen wir aus Dänemark ,Copenhagen, wo wir euch @o_matzerath vorstellen wollen. 

Schon früh zog es ihnen auf die dänischen Dancefloors und Techno entdeckte er Ende der 2000 Jahre für sich. 

Von unzähligen Besuchen im Berghain inspiriert, kaufte er sich vor 3.5 Jahren, seine ersten Plattenspieler und liefert 100% Vinyl!

So überrascht es nicht, dass er über die Jahre einen unfassbaren Schatz an verschiedenen Tracks gefunden hat, der die Leute in seinen Bann zieht. Trippy, deep oder Banger nach Banger, die Geschichte im Set sind ihm wichtig und so geht er mit einem Feingefühl in seine Sets die seines gleichen sucht.

Oskar Matzerath:
"I'm a vinyl deejay, originally from Copenhagen, Denmark. I've been listening to techno since probably around 2009, but it was only 4 years ago that I finally bought a pair of turntables and started practising deejaying. 

My move to deejaying originated from my love of dancing; I've enjoyed dancing at clubs ever since I was old enough to get in and deejaying helps me understand the music on a deeper level. 

My primary influences include Berlin techno and the Berghain sound, but I try to explore the numerous sub-genres within that space, everything from deep and trippy, to banging grooves. One thing that really appeals to me in a deejay set is when it is driven by a sense of narrative – when there is a movement through different moods and atmospheres that seduces or enchants me and makes the music come to life."

Tina von Kugler, Italian Berlin-based DJ, has been immersed in the techno scene since her
move to the German capital in 2016. Co-founding the collective Klub Ostkreuz (KOX) in 2017
and running a radio show at THF Radio since 2020, Tina has been instrumental in shaping
Berlin's underground culture by organizing parties, (illegal) raves, and art events.
Despite her deep involvement in the music scene, her journey as a DJ began just two
years ago. Since then, she has already made waves across Europe and South America,
blending fast, groovy, and bouncy techno with a percussion-drive rhythm and influences
from ghetto and funky music, which adds an extra layer of energy and excitement to
her mixes.
In November 2023, Tina traveled solo to Colombia and Peru, where her energetic
performances electrified crowds at clubs like Antisistema in Bogotá and Error Klub in
Lima and festivals such as Free Connection and Locombia. Since returning to Europe in
July 2024, she has played at venues like renate, Æden, kit kat, and Ava Club. In November
2024, she launched a radio show on Halfmoon Radio from New York, highlighting gender-
diverse artists from her travels. Tina will return to Colombia in February 2025 for more
performances.
Tina offers versatile and captivating sets inspired by her travels and the communities
she encounters. As her journey continues to unfold and she is now starting to produce
her first beats, one thing is clear: her passion for music knows no bounds or borders.

Kicking off the night, Pixie Dust hits all the right frequencies, blending 90s rave nostalgia with a new school twist. As a first-generation Mexican American raised in the heart of LA’s rave scene, she brings diverse cultural soundscapes to the booth: groovy, bouncy, and driven by the dancefloor. Expect euphoric highs, playful rhythms, and big-heart energy that pulls from the past but lands firmly in the now. 

Then it’s time to say the three magic words: RE. MI. XES. Where Afro meets Cumbia, Rap meets Baile Funk, and Reggaeton crashes into Drum & Bass, that’s where Papi Culo feels right at home. Despite being a relatively fresh face behind the decks, she's already made waves across Europe and South America, delivering fast, groovy, and bouncy techno infused with percussion-driven rhythms and hints of ghetto-funk, acid, and electro which add an extra layer of energy and excitement to her mixes.

Tina’s journey as a DJ is closely connected to her love for travel and adventure. Everything started with a big solo trip to Colombia, where she fully developed her DJ skills and got deeply inspired by the local underground scene. Since then, she’s continued to combine her two main passions - music and traveling - by performing in different countries around the world. In just a few years, she’s brought her sound to Perú, India, Italy, Portugal, and the Czech Republic, and has already completed two successful tours in Colombia.

Even though she’s based in Berlin, she’s often on the road, exploring new places and connecting with
different music communities. In November 2024, she launched a new radio show on New York’s Halfmoon Radio, featuring gender-diverse artists met during her travels.

We’re starting the night with a chat with Kapitel Berlin, the crew behind tonight’s showcase. They’ll tell us a bit about how it all began, what they’re up to in Berlin’s scene, and what´s coming next.

Up next is Berfu, a DJ whose roots in classical music bring a unique intensity to her techno sets. With a background in oboe and piano, she blends technical skill with emotional depth, creating high-energy performances that are both powerful and dynamic. Expect a mix of hard groove, Detroit, and acid techno, deep basslines, and a wide BPM range—always full of surprises and driven by her deep connection to rhythm and composition.

Closing the night is Orbi, a Berlin-based DJ and producer who found his way into techno through Ankara’s underground scene. Now based in Berlin, he channels that early inspiration into fast, heavy sets blending Hard Trance and Hard Techno. With a background in music and design, Orbi brings a creative, emotional edge to the booth—serving up intense, high-BPM sounds packed with energy and warmth.
