There’s a range of artists in this scene who go about their craft with love and care, while rarely ever staying in the limelight long enough to soak up the plaudits. Samurai Breaks is one of those names, and we couldn’t be more gassed to have him release on Born On Road. 

Landing on the label with a five-track EP, The Wickedest, it’s a fitting name for a selector who could easily be regarded as one of the finest for all things breaks and jungle. If you’ve been at Boomtown and heard an artist shelling crazy, morphing rave sounds, then you quite likely came across Samurai Breaks in his happy place.

The Wickedest sums up everything the Bristol/Leeds artist is about – fierce drums, dirty wubs, and ridiculously creative samples. The kind of stacked Bristol energy we love to surround ourselves with as a label. When it comes to gully bass riddims at all BPM's, Samurai Breaks is your man – and this EP shows it.

KlumzyKhemist started making her name as a DJ in the United States, setting the vibe alight on the open decks stages of Vermont and her reputation for impactful mixes began to bubble. Whilst studying a Masters degree in Chemistry, KlumzyKhemist realised her mixing skills were best kept to the stage.

Since moving back to the UK in 2019, she has been non-stop on making her sound heard. Having truly smashed 2022, playing Boomtown Festival, Into The Woods Festival, Lindisfarne Festival, and West Ben Fest, on top of shows all across the UK, KlumzyKhemist remains experimental in her music tastes and true to her colours.

Well known for her energetic sets filled with chops and double drops, KlumzyKhemist focuses on surprising the crowd as much as possible. Taking inspiration from all genres of music, her style ranges from mixing Neurofunk Drum and Bass, to Dancefloor, Jungle, Footwork, and everything in between, believing in the importance of never sticking to one sound.

If you can't catch her at one of her UK sets, you can catch her monthly show for Method Radio every second Saturday of the month at 3pm.
