Liminal Sounds is a new night championing the myriad mutations of underground bass music, disregarding concepts of genre or scene to bring you forward-thinking bass music with both feet planted firmly on the dancefloor. From house to hip hop, garage to grime, complete creative freedom is given to the artists that play allowing them to explore any and every facet of their musical ethos.
 
In order to promote the night Liminal have initiated a project to create a musical dialogue between the different artists playing at the night, at once highlighting both the fundamental commonalities between them and their unique musical viewpoints. The result of this is LS001, two free remixes that were created by artists from their lineup remixing each other.

Liminal Sounds takes place at the Rhythm Factory, London on Saturday June 4th from 10pm – 5am and it's FREE entry all night.

Paradox has just released his 'Ramifications' album on his Paradox Music label. To celebrate he's given us a track originally released in 1999 to give away for free. Here's what Paradox has to say about it in <a href="http://www.kmag.co.uk/editorial/features/paradox-interview-0611" target="_blank">our interview with him:</a>

"<em>Existentialism</em> was written late 1998 and released early 1999 on the now defunct Italian label, Sonica. It's never been available digitally of course so after finding the DAT I remastered it at Green Carpet studios but kept that raw 90s analogue feel. The track is fitting with the vibe of the new LP too so it seemed like a nice idea to let this one go after 13 years, and I'm sure there are many, many people that have never heard it before."

Finnish dubstep producer Tes La Rok released his debut album Them on his own Noppa Recordings label in July 2011. To celebrate he gave us a free track and <a href="http://www.kmag.co.uk/editorial/features/tes-la-rok-interview-0811.html">we spoke to him</a> to find out all about it.

Directors are invited to submit their videos for the track The Siren by Bungle ft. Ayah, the first track from the forthcoming Bungle album, you can download it for free here. Then film and / or animate a video using your own footage, edit it, upload it to http://vimeo.com/groups/kmagbunglevideocomp
There's no brief, the best advice we can give is to use whatever equipment you've got. You can even use your mobile phone and edit it in iMovie, just be creative and use your imagination.
The winner will receive £500 worth of Addict Clothing of their choice and their video will be used as the official music video for the track.

Upload your entry to Vimeo and add it to our Vimeo group. Feel free to upload it to YouTube and any other video hosting website as well but to be considered for the competition it must be in our Vimeo group.
The deadline for entries is midnight (GMT) September 18th and the winner will be announced by September 26th.

The footage used in the video must be new, i.e. shot / animated by yourself. You can't use any copyrighted material.
Videos can contain live video footage and / or animation.
You can do anything you like as long as it's creative and contains no nudity, racism, sexism or is deemed offensive in any way.
You can enter as many times as you like but a new video must be submitted each time.
Videos must be submitted by midnight (GMT) September 18th. No late entries will be accepted.
BCee from Spearhead, Andy Commons of AV1 Production and Colin Steven, the editor of Kmag, will judge the competition according to their own criteria and opinion. Number of views on videos or popularity will not be part of or influence the judging. All judging decisions are final.

Dr Meaker may be a relatively new name to some of you, but they are a band on the rise. Testament to this is the upcoming schedule of both releases and live performances they have this summer.
