A response to the 29th disquiet junto project where the sounds of running water collected near the coast of wollongong, Australia, were processed in reaktor.

The inspiration for this track came from the opening of chapter 17 of William Gibson's 1986 novel Count Zero.

A brief excerpt from a longer recording. Sounds of distant lightning flashes sonified with an experimental photo-acoustic transducer.

Lightning

This recording was made using a JRF hydrophone as a contact microphone. It was done inside the apartment where we were staying in Greenpoint during the peak of Hurricane Sandy. The power is all in the lower frequencies so a sub is necessary to hear the full range captured by the hydrophone.
