just wrote this on the spot at 1am sitting in bed thinking of what people play these days on the radio and what makes a song a hit. sadly enough these days it's not about the music anymore. this song is.

Making up words I do quite well
Saying the right ones is an art in itself
That few have perfected
I’m trying to get there but It’s pretty damn tough
Suppose I did it got em down paper and pen
Do you think I remember the melody or have to start back at square 1
And write em all over again….
So many people out there trying to make it big
Today is tougher than it’s ever been
It’s not about the music these days
It’s more about the beat in the song
So here’s to the writers struggling in a dying art
To the music lovers crying of a broken heart
I can only say that I feel your pain
Don’t give up 
We’ve got life, we’ve got soul, we’ve got so many things that they don’t know
We’ve got love, in our hearts, which sets us apart
We’ve come so far, and done so much
It wouldn’t make sense, to give our dreams up
We’ve gotta fight to keep it alive
Or surely music just may die
