Chief proudly presents a new addition to the Chief family. The Belgium based producer Lunoize is making his debut with two strong tracks! House Soldiers returned to complete this EP with a solid remix.“Those Records” is the first track of this EP, this track has a solid flow and a heavy bassline. This record is filled with wicked drums, sweet chords and cool vocal shots.House Soldiers remixed the track “Those Records” and gave it a dark and heavy house spin. The heavy bassline in this remix stands out and gives the track a wicked groove.The final track of this EP is an original track by Lunoize called “Smoked Out”. This track has a powerful bassline groove and strong matching drums.

2016 was a standout year for Alan Fitzpatrick, with the Drumcode stalwart racing out of the gates in spectacular fashion with the release of his fabric 87 mix. A substantial amount of high profile shows followed, including appearing at the inaugural Junction 2 festival and closing the car park to a packed-to-the-rafters-crowd at Drumcode Halloween. He returns to Drumcode with ‘Brian’s Proper Dun One’, marking his first appearance on the label since late 2016 when he remixed Moby’s seminal ‘Porcelain’.

The release opens with ‘Brian’s Proper Dun One’, a track which caused a Twitter meltdown on Alan’s profile when he first started playing it at the tail end of 2016. Loaded with sharp and pounding drums, this is an ethereal experience from start to finish and packs a real punch. It’s a no holds barred, certified main room anthem. ‘Wait A Second’ feat. mc r1bbz has been a staple of Adam Beyer’s sets of late and has been getting a lot of air time on Drumcode Radio. This rave inspired track takes a raw, stripped back approach and delivers a real killer blow. Alan sampled the vocals of mc r1bbz from an LTJ Bukem tape pack from the early 90s and the record tips its cap to early jungle raves around the M25. The release closes with ‘Trance, Init?’; A homage to Alan’s days first and foremost as a raver before he became a DJ, with his non-purist attitude when it comes to electronic music shining through. The breakdown is sure to be a hands in the air moment at festivals all over the globe this summer.

Put the names Carl Cox and Josh Butler together, and it's guaranteed to catch the attention of most. Leeds native Josh Butler has grabbed hold of Carl’s 1991 smash ‘I Want You’ for a refreshed remix, which is set to release August 18 on CR2. It'll arrive as part of their ‘Past, Present, Future’ series which sees contemporary artists remixing absolute classics. The Butler reinvention of Carl Cox's tune is an addictive remix that pays a respectable honor to the 90s sound of the original while still grooving with a modern twist. A certified tech house bomb, Footsteps is full fire from of the off. New York based vocalist, Amy Douglas, brings extra heat, adding a distinct intensity in the build up. With a current track out on Soul Clap Records and an upcoming EP with Juan MacLean as part of their Peach Melba project, Amy is one to keep an eye on. One the flip Piquant offers another peak time killer for the dance floor.

Latmun shot into the limelight in 2016 with 3 great of EP’s.His Def EP on VIVa received support from heavyweights like Skream, Claptone, Claude Vonstroke, Matthias Tanzmann, Steve Lawler and many more. Following a remix on Hottrax, James Burnham aka Burnski is back under his James Solace alias to release Mind Music, a formidable first full release featuring four equally as impressive tracks released this February on Hot Creations.

Keep On sets the tone of this sumptuous release, rumbling sub-bass holds the track together, like a huge wave it slowly gains intensity, given room to breathe until it unfurls into a powerful weapon. A heavy dose of playful funk is applied on Catalyst, with guitar, squelching synth and a dash of warm soul. Mind Music is a deep and hypnotic piece, an addictive vocal loop over laser sharp synth and becomes firmly embedded in the psyche. Finally, Groove does what it says on the tin and sees James expertly craft another solid beat where growling bass combines with licks of pulsating acid that will undoubtedly send the dance floor into raptures.

UK hero James Solace also known as Burnski has made his name through a penchant for moving through many styles of music with ease, always being one step ahead of the trend and mixing the new with the old. Whether it be his trade-mark tech-house grooves released under Burnski or through his Instinct alias and label where he channels drum and bass, garage and 2-step, his productions are always of the highest quality. He boasts regular gigs at esteemed venues including DC10, Fabric, Rex Club and Watergate. As well as this forthcoming EP under this alias on Hot Creations, he also has big records to come on Knee Deep in Sound, Four Thirty Two and Last Night On Earth.
