New York newcomers Eskuche & Nu Sky (@eskucheandnusky) have wasted no time since launching onto the scene, first releasing on New York’s legendary imprint Nervous Records and garnering support from key tastemakers world wide including; Maya Jane Coles, Marco Carola, and pivotally, Jamie Jones & Lee Foss who in 2014 signed 2 tracks from the boys to Hot Creations for the ‘Acid Jump’ EP.

Having previously remixed for VIVa LIMITED last year on Russ Yallop’s ‘Darkside EP’, the boys now make a stark return to the label with an EP comprised of 4 original tracks plus a remix from Russ (@russ-yallop) on a quid pro quo tip. The release showcases a signature sound that combines growling bass lines, shamanic grooves, and futuristic synthesisers to culminate in a package establishing Eskuche & Nu Sky as some of the most exciting artists of the new school Tech House scene.

'Lidl Girl feat. Arno Joey’ is the sensational third single to be taken from Popof’s huge hitting album ‘Love Somebody’ released on Hot Creations last year. This mammoth package comes with remixes from industry heavyweights Kerri Chandler, Magda, Carl Cox and Shaun Reeves & Tuccillo.

House music legend Kerri Chandler has produced a prolific body of work since his first release in 1991. He serves a classic slice of house music with intricate percussion and solid groove, while Magda offers a stellar version where quirky beats and spacey stabs are the serve of the day.
Carl Cox is a true veteran in the industry at the top of his game with a worldwide radio show and immensely successful residency at Space in Ibiza. Masterfully he spins the original into a rolling techno beast for those peak time hours.

Shaun Reeves & Tuccillo delve deeper for their remix with penetrating atmosphere flowing across a punchy groove. The pair released their first collaboration on Visionquest last year and have since been working in the studio together on various forthcoming projects.

This month marks the return of Steyoyoke veteran Dahu to the label; ever-evolving, subby and percussive, Dahu's 5th EP 'Hesia' sees him pulling out all his signature stops, from ultra low frequency kicks to melancholic synths drenched in warmth. The EP features two original tracks, 'Hesia' and 'From Whence We Came'.

'Hesia' is an exercise in minimalism, developing subtlely until culminating in a ferocious drop layered with resonating mids, a few well chosen percussive elements and a gut pounding kick meant to be felt as well as heard. A heart wrenching lead and bassy resonators combine to hover over the track, dousing it with emotion.

'From Whence We Came' features a complex percussive groove plowing relentlessly forward. The sub-laden kick drum barely lets the listener come up for air, while the lead plays an enticing repetitive mantra, transporting the track into an unexpectedly melancholic dimension, and forging an instant afterhours classic.

As a long term Steyoyoke artist, Dahu has forged his own sound within the sphere of Ethereal Techno. Building on his reputation for sub-heavy melancholia, the 'Hesia' EP showcases old and new aspects of the German producer's unique sound alike.
