I was fortunate to go to St. Petersburg in January 2010 when I was at college, studying Radio Broadcasting. 
I was very taken by the story of the Leningrad Siege and learned about a Scottish story related to the Siege which is virtually unknown.

If you can spare 25 minutes to listen, then this tells it all.

It earned me an award for ' Best Audio Programme' at a recent media festival I attended.
