Nostromo is the new collaborative project of Berlin-based producers SARIN & Unhuman, known for some EBM and industrial killer releases under their solo aliases on, Instruments of Discipline or Amok Tapes. After their debut at Tripalium Corp, they prepare a second EP for aufnahme + wiedergabe label.

The Forgotten CXLIII: Nostromo

Rudiment is an EBM/industrial project from Saint Petersburg that started in 2010. The main theme of live performances is raw rust skirr, bass line and kicking snare. For the last few years Rudiment has released music on labels like Mosaique Records, Flight Records, EMC.  Upcoming releases on Smashing Tape Records and Up North Records.

We are more than delighted to guest the Colombian producer, Faunes Efe, with his "Filmmaker" project! He has quickly built a cult following amongst those with an affinity for dystopian electronics steeped in an alluring, seductive darkness. From earlier self-released works such as ‘Visceral’, a 10-track full length work modestly described in Efe’s own words as the “First occult-orientated soundtrack from an experimental lost film”, to the 808-shots of ‘Nocturnal’ and later with the grainy, low-fi electro of ‘Wetwork’. Each successive release proves Efe’s capacity to execute productions of magnitude across the electronic spectrum, yielding body moving music from a small arsenal of honed hardware.
Filmmaker’s material derives from an unadulterated exploration of the sonic realms, utilising multiple formats and artistic mediums; documented through a series of original cover artworks and short films created by Efe. In the space of a year since its inception, Efe began touring as a live artist under the Filmmaker project, from his home-base in Medellin, to clubs and spaces throughout the Americas and Europe. 2019 became a defining period for Efe’s musical trajectory, with the release of the acclaimed ‘The Love Market’ LP on Berlin-based Detriti Records and later landing on esteemed UK label, Opal Tapes with his 6-track ‘Unregulated’ EP, followed by the 7-track dark wave masterclass ‘Noir Times’ EP on Valencia-based, HC Records. We are very happy to have him in our podcast series. Turn it up for one of the most prolific Colombian artists that has been silent working in his music not looking to Fit in by the trends and only the music.

@autumns is the solo project of Christian Donaghey, From Derry, Ireland, an outlet for electronic post-punk with a lethal pulse. After a brace of rough demos without preliminary hype, the project emerged fully formed on Karl O’Connor’s (aka Regis) illustrious label Downwards back in 2014, the youngest act in a new vanguard of artists that included the likes of Tropic of Cancer, DVA DAMAS and The KVB.

Preceding releases for Clan Destine Records, iDEAL Recordings and DKA Records have seen the project engaged in a rough trade of transgressive noise, dysfunctional metal dance and DIY punk angst, yet each of these milestones has represented a different proposition. 2016’s ‘A Product of 30 Years of Violence’ saw the project moving into vast glacial spaces after propulsive post-punk discord of 2015’s ‘Das Nichts’. 2017 presented a further progression into Autumns’ journey from his post-punk beginnings to producing some of the tautest and no bullshite electronic music around with the release of his debut album ‘Suffocating Brothers’ on Clan Destine Records. Gaining radio play from selectors like Trevor Jackson, Regis, Debonair and Giant Swan.

Procedente de Thessaloniki, Grecia, dio sus primeros pasos en la música como guitarrista en varios grupos de su ciudad natal. Su prometedor proyecto obtuvo dos lanzamientos de EP en 2019 (Hannover, Thessaloniki) y algunos otros EP a lo largo de 2021 en sellos del Reino Unido, Francia, Rusia, Brasil y Colombia. El sonido inquietante del proyecto oscila entre romper patrones electro, ritmos corporales deslumbrantes con influencias punk, combinando misticismo con sensualidad cruda. Esto no es una sorpresa ya que estaba bañado en una cultura de metal y punk en Grecia. En muchos conciertos, deja su huella proponiendo alguna interacción con sus máquinas y el público en sets en vivo o proponiendo algunas opciones de pistas oscuras de la escena underground actual. 

Knife presents  Alpha Sect, EBM/Wave project of George V., resident of the club « La Kulture » in Strasbourg, France. Hailing from Thessaloniki, Greece, he made his first steps in music as a guitarist in various groups in his hometown. His promising project got two EP releases in 2019 (Hannover, Thessaloniki) and a few other EPs coming throughout 2021 in labels from the UK, France, Russia, Brazil and Colombia. The unrest sound of the project oscillates between breaking electro patterns, stunning body rythmes with punk influences, combining mysticism with raw sensuality. This does not come as a surprise since he was bathed in a culture of metal and punk in Greece. In many concerts, he leaves his mark by proposing some interaction with his machines and the public in live sets or by proposing some obscure track choices from the actual underground scene.

Kutkh Jackdaw is a Scottish producer and DJ, now based in Brighton, whose productions take influence from a wide variety of different genres, from post-punk and techno, to EBM, synth and even traditional tribal music and dub. He uses a range of techniques including a heavy use of inventive sampling, combined with extensive use of vintage 80’s hardware. His debut EP 'Sweat & Thunder', was recently released on Dark Disco on limited edition cassette and download, featuring three of his own productions, as well as four remixes from Evil Dust, Notausgang, Chrome Corpse, and SHPSHFT. Kutkh Jackdaw's track 'Psycho Killer' was also recently released on Lunacy's debut V/A compilation. My next release is a remix for hardcore punk band, Never, which will be on Of Dolls & Murder's next V/A
