Journey to the Cold (my Christmas Present for You)

In this remix I used the original material mostly as multisamles to play some melodies and chords. As well I passed some of the files through Reaktor and added some sounds I programmed in Massive. This obviosly is not Jazz, but is inspired in Freejazz where everthing has it´s own life, but fits together somehow. With this I was trying to reflect what one must feel after a oneyear nonestop creative jouney to anywhere...a very inspiring proyect indeed.

Nearly There-(disquiet0004-mfischer)-Knopfdreher-Never Ending Journey

My contribution for disquietjunto22. The choosen instrument is a vibraphone multi sample played with a midi keybord. To keep  the recording process inmediately without midi editing I recorded the instrument through my djmixer connected to the Kaosspad. I did several recordings with different gain amounts, degrading the audio by saturating the mixer and the in and output on the Kaosspad and playend the Kaosspad fx with one hand, when I was´nt using both hands to play. At the end I recorded some details directly into the computer and used some timestretching to degrade some parts of the recordings and to have different audio quallities. No post editing used (exept EQ and Limiter for mastering), everything is played and degraded live, including all the fx (feedback delay, pitchshifter,filterdistortion, microlooper,reverb).
