The tender "Breathe" turned out to be the secret hit from Romins Fallen EP among Emerald & Doreen producers, so they provided five timeless versions: Sweden's A Copycat gives it a retro synth pop twist with cosmic percussions, RSAG's uplifting bass guitar and drums grower is very Krautrock meets BritPop meets Cosmic Disco with a great "High Noon" touch, Marseille's Did Virgo turns it into an etheric wave pop beauty, Boccaccio hail from Rennes/France and deliver a stunning 9:48 acid groover that makes you become liquid, and Northern Irish Kinfolk-man therarelowry's de-dubs the original with a lot of delays and meandering grooves. Purely magic music!

Romin aka Leo Pearson (of Future Bones fame) delivered with the "Fallen EP"already in January one of the most outstanding EPs on Emerald & Doreen, a true gem for lovers of new romantic indie electronica. A few weeks ago, the first remix pack for "Fallen", "Ropeburn" and "Wasted" was released and received a lot of love. Although the originals were really hard to improve, Tusk Wax-hero Jonty Rose, French Andrew weatherall-Faves Club Bizarre, Tici Taci-lovers Future Bones, La Dame Noir-superstar Did Virgo, Parisian Kelton Prima and Irish Replete took them to the next level. 

Emerald & Doreen, maybe like no other label, stands for open-mindedness and innovation in electronic indie music. In recent years, the boutique label worked with more than 100 renowned and new and upcoming, always highly talented artists from all over the world, releasing more than 100 EPs - now another highlight is coming: the Romin - Breathe remixes.

Van Hai & Ripperton - A World Where We Are Missing

"El Fadaa" is the fourth release from Romanian outfit Khidja this year, after EPs released on Love On The Rocks, [Emotional] Especial and Bahnsteig 23. This time it's through the young label Malka Tuti from Tel Aviv, from which we already featured a premiere a few weeks ago, the Willie Burns remix of "Botanical Garden" by Yovav. A2 "Drums Of Taksim" is a psychedelic downtempo trip with a huge build up featuring a spoken poem by Alan Berliner, live instruments mixed with electronics and some arabic singing, clocking in at 12 minutes. Remix courtesy of Baris K and Mehmet Aslan appears on the flip side too. Strong release, not to be missed! (Khidja + Mihai Balabason Guitars, Andrei Dinescu on Saz / Violin, Mehdi Aminian on Voice / Setar / Ney and Alan Berliner as the storyteller)

"Bar25 - Days Out Of Time“ is the motto of the cinema movie about Berlin’s Bar25. By now, not only the club, but also its soundtrack have attained cult status. As a result, the compilation series "Zeitgeist“ is returning for the next round. Featured are many of the label’s well-known as well as new artists, who have contributed mainly exclusively produced tracks. This is atmospheric club sound that goes beyond the usual genre, multi-faceted and timeless, as we are accustomed to hearing from the Bar 25 label.

Superpitcher - Little Raver (Original Mix)[Bar25-073Z]

"Insane Dances" is a brand new sub-label from Partyfine, run by Yuksek and Get A Room!, which will deal in darker, more off-beat sounds of a post-disco orientation. It kicks off with an excellent and agenda setting EP from the Get A Room! duo. Say the pair on the new label, “We like a lot of different things musically speaking, and we do not want to be limited to a specific style like too many labels today, so we’re sure we’re going to be a little confusing. With Insane Dances we are asking our audience to be more open and wide with their tastes.” As such expect everything from funny French nuggets to New York noise, disco to No Wave legacies.
Parisian pair Jeff Lasson and Aurélien Haas have built a hedonistic galaxy based on carefully selected edits and irresistibly leftfield mixes. They bring their playful and left of centre style to this new release which features a tropical techno anthem and
percussive DJ tool. Excellent opener ‘Ecuador’ is a seductive and deep number with real mystery in the melody. Strange spoken word vocals add a sense of paranoia to the crisp, popping drums and it’s a perfectly spaced out afterparty tune filled with character. Then comes ‘The Reef’, which is an off-kilter track with wonky drums and percussion and spraying synths that are brilliantly loose. It’s colourful and dynamic and full of warmth, sure to really get the floor locked in and along for the playful ride. This is a terrific and charismatic start to the new label that will win over plenty of fans from the off.
