Then comes a trippy Romanian pastoral epic dedicated to our favourite chess grandmaster, Elisabeta P, followed by a nostalgic tribute to Albatros based on Bobby Fischer's last words. From there we keep it oriental, like the origins of chess. Here is a gypsy charade that was commissioned by and firstly performed at the Evicted Women Fashion Parade 2013. In the end, although Bach might not agree, we do not hesitate to exchange the bishop for a knight.

Hey, yeah so Ezra is a very musically open-minded duo from Hamburg (Germany) and this track sticks out from all their other songs I think. The oriental vibe made me fall in love and I decided to bring it in a more dj friendly arrangement. "Garten meiner Fantasie" means "Garden of my fantasy". In her fantasy, magical things are happening in her garden. I hope with the Edit I can bring her fantasy to the dancefloor.

On the 17th of May Pingipung will release Anadol's album "Uzun Havalar" on vinyl and all digital platforms. It's a collaboration with the label Kinship that originally released the album on tape in 2018 and caused quite a stir with it. 

🅰🅽🅰🅳🅾🅻 (@altinkasetcilik) is a psychedelic synth folk project by Gözen Atila, a Turkish sound artist and photographer based in Berlin. Her third album Uzun Havalar is based on collective improvisations of middle eastern folk songs called „uzun hava“. They turn out as rich, atmospheric synth ballads. A diverse roster of improvising musicians creates their fascinating complexity. Anadol recorded them during extensive sessions in Istanbul. You can hear drummers laughing and playing guitars, composers howling, announcements in French and screams in no language, record collectors playing oscillators, and trumpets through spacious echoes. 
Anadol represents Gözen Atila’s liberation from a rather academic approach to electronic composition which she pursued during her music technology studies in Istanbul. She calls her education the „darkness of serious music“ where she first tried to belong, then to break free with the help of lo-fi synth pop. As a producer of radio plays and an expert field recording artist, she has developed a distinct sense of timing, editing and sound design. Her Anadol project walks in the footsteps of lone synth experimentalists like Bruce Haack and The Space Lady with their childlike curiosity for electronic sounds, pushing the boundaries of minimal equipment. On Uzun Havalar she translates her experimental background into these floating folk ballads.

Proiectul „Redescoperind muzica” a fost conceput în perioada pandemiei pentru că nu mai avem muzică live. Am vrut să știm ce au însemnat și în alte vremuri adverse experimentele muzicale și culturile sonore: nu un gen anume, ci atitudinea. Căutând exemple românești, am ajuns să traversăm peste 50 de ani de experimente, “uitându-ne” la numeroase cazuri de rezistență prin cultură, subcultură sau contracultură pe care am încercat să le înțelegem prin prisma unor Studii de sunet. Seria de materiale discursive numită astfel chestionează valori ale mediului creativ local și nu numai, urmărind să înțeleagă trecutul formelor noi de a asculta, cânta sau chiar dansa. Scopul nostru a fost și rămâne acela de a înțelege implicațiile sociale ale sunetului pentru a reimagina, chiar și în condițiile actuale, feluri noi în care se poate face și asculta muzică.
