First you will learn when, where and why to move the rook after castling. Then comes a trippy Romanian pastoral epic dedicated to our favourite chess grandmaster, Elisabeta P, followed by a nostalgic tribute to Albatros based on Bobby Fischer's last words. From there we keep it oriental, like the origins of chess. Here is a gypsy charade that was commissioned by and firstly performed at the Evicted Women Fashion Parade 2013. In the end, although Bach might not agree, we do not hesitate to exchange the bishop for a knight.

Malka Tuti in collaboration with the italian imprint Roccodisco, and label bosses Ed Rodion and Hugo Sanchez bring forth "Perfidia". Ed and Hugo (aka Alien Alien) are no strangers to pitched down sexy dancefloor tunes. With previous releases on Slow Motion records they've made a name for themselves as sexy bastards. With Perfidia they present the vocalist Igino, a friend from home, Rome. Together they've boiled a slow burning, constantly evolving song for the late late hours. Strong Kick, deep low frequencies and those vocals lay the foundations for a true K-Pop hit. On the remix for the A-side Malka Tuti present a collaboration of two disco legends Ray Mang and Severino Panzetta (oh Horse Meat Disco), that add a Mediterranean flavor to the original tune, easing things up... On the b-side we have another slow burner with "Bella l'Estate", joined by a top remix by Tel Avivian prodigy Naduve to conclude your go to "hit of the summer package".

It's remix time! We open our vaults to let our favourite producers from 'round the globe play around with our releases. This is the first of three remix EPs, with fantastic reworks by the hanseatic hedonism force of RSS DISCO, the Australian psychedelic vibes of DREEMS and TIGHT PANTS and the Mexican dreams of SAINTE VIE. Tune in, drop out!

Following on from the floor filling delights of his last effort, Ragazzini / Diavolo Di Un Disco (played by almost everyone from Dimitri From Paris to Todd Terje, from Prins Thomas to Justin Vandervolgen), the Italian born Federico Costantini might well have decided to replicate the same formula for his next EP on Hell Yeah. But no, the man has more about him than that, and instead turns in three wildly different cuts that touch on a wide array of influences from broken disco to soul, post rock to African rhythms.

As a resident at Rome party Exe-Cute, Luminodisco knows how to work a dancefloor in style and does so again with the tracks here. Burundiness for example, which grows from the delicate rattles of cow bells and muffle of distant voices into a predatory disco crawl, laden down with xylophone sounds, squelchy claps and melancholic piano chords -- it sounds alive, organic and like a field recording of some African savannah come sun down.

The Roman doesn't release often, but, as evidenced here, when he does he really hits the mark: as such Hell Yeah Recordings are on the verge of getting a full album out of the man, so watch this space.
