Flava Matikz and I originally recorded this song I think back in 2003-2004? I just remember we were living in LA (Glendale, CA - to be exact).  We were experimenting with a lot of different sounds, flows, styles and accents. It was always one of my favorite #HiddenGems buried in our #Q-Lab. I always wanted to put this song out, we just never had the right project for it, St. Patrick's Day is here so dance a jig and get down to this bloody song! Ha

When I was recently in Los Angeles, I had the chance to reconnect with my soul brotha Konfushuz Mindz, he was one of the first cats to encourage us to move out to the West Coast. He's also a very talented producer and beatmaker. He also was the producer of my first song to build a buzz in The Philippines - "Caught Up". 

When we recorded this song at his studio, he had the quote "Forgive and Forget | Micah 7:18" hanging up on the wall in the booth. I just kind of used that for inspiration. Nobody is perfect, we all have problems, but don't let that stop you from going out there in the world and doing what you gotta do. Without pain, there is no growth and living your truth is not always easy. Happiness is a choice, you might see me out there smiling, and grinding, doing my thing but behind all that are many layers of hurt invisible to the world. Make the most of every moment ya'll! Life is short....

I think me and Flav made this track back in maybe 2005-2006? I remember just hearing the best and writing the verses right away. I remember trying to not too focus and just let everything flow, This also goes out to all the #Bitaz and #Hataz out there! ha! #Subconscious

The chorus to this song was actually something we'd use to hype up the crowd before we perform back in the US. We released this track back in 2005 on our album "Jose Rizal". I remember we watched the movie about his life back in LA and it inspired us to create this album. Mind you this was before we ever visited the Philippines but we were truly proud to be Filipino even back then. Happy Independence Day Philippines! Another #HiddenGem for you! #Yuoy!

While I was in LA earlier this year for my daughter's birthday, She loves to sing and has so much personality. So, I told her to come up with her own melody and lyrics, so we can make a song together. She really loves My Little Pony, so here's what we created. I also edited a little video of our little adventures while we were together. I think she's a chip off the old block, except she's gonna be much better! I hope you guys like it. I remember watching them back in the day live,  them boyz had PIPEZ! Anyways, this one been sitting in our studio computer since 2011! It's a remix to the first song on his "MUSICPHILIAC" album, the vibe to this track is really cool.  Thanks to the brotha J-Ricz for having me spit the raps on this track. Back in the day around 2006, we received a beat CD from Kanye West's GOOD Music camp. The idea was to record demo's to the songs and shop for a record deal. It didn't work out exactly how we wanted it to, but I believe we made some cool songs, this is one of them. The song features Cristina B. a talented Pinay singer / songwriter from Oklahoma. =)

#RestInPeace #InLovingMemory of my Lola who we all called Nanay Naty. Through her heart, wisdom, strength and tough love she gave us the mindset to survive, thrive and fight against all the odds for what we love. 

Before she passed, she would talk of coming with me to The Philippines. She always believed in me and always told me I can do anything in this world. She is one of the reasons I've come this far. I love you po Nanay, you are in a better place now. I know you are watching over me and all of us.

Growing up, I always loved those old soulful songs one of them being "Hotel California" by the Eagles. We used to listen to it all the time while driving on road trips, we fell in love with that song so we decided to sample it and make our own song with it. This is actually the second version of the song we did in 2007  The released on our album / mixtape "Step Ya Game Up Rapper Vol. 2". 

The lyrics were just written out of frustration while I was in college. I didn't know what to do being Pinoy MC in NYC. Who'd of know we'd get to where we are now and still so much more to come! Thank you to our brother #JohnnyD for connecting us with the super-talented singer-songwriter VU!

This was track #14 on our album Q.S.A. which we released in 2004. I I think this is so relevant to finish off 2016 being that the hustle don't stop and it's crazy how 12 years later we still at it! Q.S.A. was the last album where I cursed in my lyrics. As hard as we went at it in 2004, we plan on taking it even further in 2017. Shout outs to the OG DJ / Beatmaker T.H.E Menace for lacing the track, Christopher Hill for the silky smooth vocals and Fahim for bringing that Brooklyn on the track!
