Just playing with a new effect. Figured why not do a quick simple song. Not the most detailed as I did the whole thing is about an hour.

Returned from Atlanta wrote a song.

:( I know I sound like a broken record about this by now... but again... I enter into areas that I am not familiar with yet on every track working out where I fit into this world of music... so I feel uncomfortable about almost every track that I upload. 

This track takes advantage of many things that I have done in the past, and is the first time I  have tried to cut up my own vocal. (I have done it with other peoples in the past)... I cannot tell yet if the song as a whole has a disconnected feel with each of its parts. But rather than let this song rot like so many others... here it is.

Sorry I have been feeling uninspired. This was a track that started a long time ago and I had high hopes at the time... but I uploaded what I did today to it. 

Built 2 Last

Sometimes I do these 1 or 2 min tracks when I am playing around with new stuff. Not much time gets spent on them. Its kinda like an exercise to learn stuff that I will use in later tracks. 

after listening to it... I think I hear some changes I would and should make... maybe I will make this a full track.

This track had been sitting around in my  unfinished folder for awhile now, normally I have mostly music and a few lines sang, this is one of the rare unfinished where the vocal was mostly done already... so i recorded a bit more vocal this morning and uploaded it. 

Relocation

Betty for awhile was telling me she liked this track. I felt that it was not very good. I have lost touch with many people in my absence. I hope I can fix that.

The last track was the last of my more simple tracks for awhile. I am going to try something different for a bit. I have been working on tracks similar to this one for awhile I have just not released any of them. I get a kick out of trying new things and seeing what I can pull of that is outside of my comfort zone yet still fits with in what is becoming my style.

This could either be pretty good... or pretty bad. I really have no perspective anymore. I may possibly be making a mistake in uploading this before its done... or it could be done and I don't know it, either way here it is. 

I Don't Know What To Feel

I am aware this is kinda rubish. But I wanted to make a track with a lot of reverb. The DAW I use got an update... and there was a reverb challenge.... tho I do not tend to submit to challenges... I wanted to make hte track anyway.

Im Scared

I have not been on soundcloud in a very long time. I have been struggling with doubt. This song is not very finished, but I am going to upload it anyway.

Thats Cool

I know I tend to sound fairly negative about my tracks. This I liked a lot at first. But ran into huge struggles with the vocal in the middle since I am not really a singer. I hope that its not as bad as I think it is. The lyrics have and style have changed many many times. But the intro vocal for this track was just released on crosstown rebellion so figured I should upload my version around the same time.

The image is of a doll made by Emilie Steele, she does amazing work and I love looking at all of her images. If I were rich I would buy some.

Disguise

I guess its been well over a year since i'v uploaded anything, recently I redid my "Studio" and added another DAW to use, purchased a lot of equipment and software looking for inspiration. 

This song is not so representative of what I plan to make, but it was an interesting journey of ideas and mostly came about because I wanted to try recording on a live (dynamic) microphone, which I did not have much experience with, thus the questionable vocal recording quality... I did rather like not having to wear headphones... though there is some audio bleed into the vocal recording.  Also I started to mess around with more vocal mastering plugins that I have no idea how to use... hope it didnt ruin it too much... I really should have just stuck to what I know.

With luck I finish some of my newer stuff which I rather like, I just have to learn more about the new software and how it translates from a semi organic live preformace... to a structured song.

C Me

This is the epitome of unfinished tracks. It has sat private for 2 years, and has no end.. but I loved it so much. It was the victim of a computer crash in the middle of writing, and I loved where it was going. The end has a bunch of noise that had been removed... This song taught me a lesson, save more often... infact save in general, because I have 0 of this song saved other than what I had uploaded to soundcloud to hear in my car.
