We are very happy to introduce you to DISTANT ECHOS. 
 Founded by producer/composer Alex Niggemann (AEON) and Singer/Songwriter Fabian Kuss (YEAH BUT NO), the brand new label will set out to be a bastion of quality, featuring bands & artists from a broad musical church with leanings towards Electronica and Neo Pop.

DISTANT ECHOS kick off their journey with the debut EP from Maltese Duo KNTRL.  The “JUST WORDS“ EP delivers a vibe that delves boldly into the dark edge and mood of the eighties but is tinged with a radio-friendly pop sensibility.


KNTRL: „The process was quite a long one. This EP started in 2019, and all three tracks were planned to be instrumental. At the very early stages, all I knew was that it had to have dark tones with a human feel which is always very important for me. With this EP I also wanted to use my external synths and drum machines as much as possible.
The lyrics came at a later stage and Matthew was the most sensible choice. His experience helped shape the tracks a lot and gave a much-needed pop vibe to the whole sound.“  Alex Niggemann’s danceable 4-to-the-floor remake, which finds its musical inspiration in the worlds of contemporary Italo and Indie Dance vibes, rounds up this fantastic debut EP.

Previously KNTRL’s sound was almost introverted electro-pop mostly listened to by underground ambient//electronic lovers.
Just words EP aims to move past that & appeal to a wider range of audiences ranging from the alternative to Indie-Dance.

PREMIERE : KNTRL - Closer [OFF Recordings]

We are glad to welcome back a German label that we love: OFF Recordings. The label's artistic direction is perfect and conducted skilfully by Andre Crom: high-quality productions with a precise techno that sometimes sound violent or gentle, electric and Melodic. "Closer" confirms this skill. The Berlin based artist KNTRL makes his debuts on the label with this Ep with 2 originals included and an impactful interpretation made by the Italian techno producer Luca Agnelli. It will be available on 14th November !

Andre Crom's OFF Recordings hosts the debut appearance from KNTRL on the imprint this month with two originals that delve the label into an electronica-centered soundscape. Rich textures and lush sonic touches make for an engrossing listening experience.
