I've lost new friends, I've reconnected with olds one, I've loved, I've lost, I've hurt, and I've been hurt.

To those who I've come to know: Whether with time I've come to hate you, or love you, you've helped me become the person I am today, and for that, I am thankful. The scars I've been left with remind me of what mistakes to not make again, and the positive reinforcement allows me to keep going, I cannot express enough how much both of those mean to me.

To my followers: Thank you so much! Each and every one of you mean so much to me, and it brings me so much joy to know that you enjoy what I make. I would like to continue to provide for all of you, and I hope you'll hear me when I continue.

Anecdotes: This cover has done way much for me than I ever thought it could. The experience of writing lyrics, to be able to finally put into words the emotional issues I've been coping with for the longest time... It's meant a lot to me. Who knew that something so mundane could be so cathartic. It's helped me get past certain things.

I'm definitely not the best at audio mixing, so I just tried to compose as well as I could. I put a lot of heart into this, so I hope you enjoy it.

Foreword from Vinpie: "thank you to everyone that has invested in MISFORTUNE in any way, shape, or form whether it be my original track, this rendition, or someone else's. MISFORTUNE was a fun little track i decided to make to honour TS!US when i was just 13, and though i'm a grown 19-year-old whose creative focus has since shifted drastically from UNDERTALE the game and my prime within the UTSC community will forever hold a special place in my mental museum of memories.

MISFORTUNE, almost like UNDERSWAP itself, has grown into something even bigger than my own creation, and for a long time i've considered it to be a song owned by the community rather than myself for just how much its sound has shifted throughout the years as you've all grown and become more sonically ambitious... it's beautiful to see, and though i've had no part of it, i'm happy to have been part of the stepping stones towards growing as artists for all of you who participated in making your own rendition of my song.

this cover here is beautiful to me in the sense that it shows how such a simple piece of art can go such a long way for inspiring people for years to come. that's exactly what i make art for: to have fun and inspire people. it's been a long time since many of you have heard from me, but i'm just letting y'all know i'm still here and making music, haha. so, i want you all to keep expanding and make music and any kind of art you want to make. it's all special and it doesn't matter what anybody says about it as long as it's entirely crafted with your heart and made with passion.
