True to its eclectic and passionate identity, and to celebrate its 5th anniversary, Pont Neuf announces the release of a new compilation, “Hexagonal Club Vol.2”. An unprecedented project which brings together  he titles of the most promising young talents on the current French electronic scene: Flabaire , Tour-Maubourg, Cosmonection, Madcat, KX9000, Calmos & Berzingue, Fasme, Herr Krank, THEOS, Saudade and Vitess. Composed of 12 original tracks, this compilation immerses the listener in the heart of the different facets of electronic music through diverse and colorful explorations.

It is with the silky title of Flabaire ‘’Sleeve’’ that the compilation opens, followed by the jazzy house sounds of Tour-Maubourg and the balearic and aerial influences of Cosmonection with ‘’Deep Oddities’’ and ‘’Las Olas’’. Madcat and Calmos follow up with two deep and mental tracks:‘’Cala Saona’’ and ‘’Consoude’’ followed by the groovy ‘’ Gambling House’’ by KX9000. Following them, ‘’ Turbo Blaster’’ by Fasme, imbued with hypnotic italo-house melodies; ‘’Something Different’’, a sunny piano house track by Herr Krank, and ‘’ Wanna Go Out’’ by THEOS, a deep house title supported by loud and warm bass. The compilation ends with a more techno vibe with Saudade’s dark minimal ‘’ Kaleidoscope’’, the energetic ‘’ With the Brizious’’ by Berzingue; and, finally, the broken and mystical style of Vitess with D.C.D.L.’’

Luca Ferrara aka Butch Haynes is a longtime friend of the Apparel Music family, hence, the fact that his ‘Everybody EP’ is finally landing on our airstrip makes EVERYBODY really glad.
Butch delivers a stunning five-track record, composed of four original tunes and a rework -of the title track- by Kisk, which is due to be released on the next 5th of November 2021. When you press play to ‘Everybody’ a magic feeling suddenly permeates the room with delightful sonic vibrations and the listener can quite clearly understand how instinctive, raw and pure the intentions of the artist are in producing such a great work. The slightly ‘uncooked’, yet incredibly detailed beats hit the ears hard with a bizarre elegant touch, exactly how it should be and definitely epitomising Butch Haynes’ intentions of translating what could be described as an American sound into his very own Milanese, passionate, carefree version. Kisk, for his part, comes up with the goods to help put his friend Luca to embellish this already perfect EP.
Useless to quote any of the tracks, you can see it for yourself and this record has to be seen and listened as a whole, being its creator’s most powerful musical statement. ‘Everybody’ EP by Butch Haynes is ready for landing so fasten your seat belts.

We’ve had the pleasure to release music by some amazing artists in 2021 and with The Round Up part 8, we’re bringing you remixes of some of our label regulars such as Fouk & Makèz and present you some fresh faces that have made a huge impact on the scene in recent years such as New York disco dons Jkriv & Peter Matson, Colombian house royalty Felipe Gordon. Completing the package are Parisian house aficionado Marina Trench and Lore of the samurai, an alter ego of a rather prolific and well-known house producer.   
 
Jkriv & Peter Matson have taken on Fouk’s undercover hit ‘Money’ and have turned the acid-nu disco of the original into a bubbling funk affair, complete with guitar licks and new synth licks. Makèz take the jazz-funk vibe of their debut album ‘City of all’ to give a whole new perspective on Marina Trench’s track ‘Wake up’. The vocals -courtesy of French-Algerian singer Sabrina Bellaouel -, jazzy horns and synthy noodles are layered on a mellow broken beat that form an altogether dreamy effect.  
 
Staying in the broken beat realm, we’ve got Fouk re-imagining Lore of the samurai’s track ‘Justifice’. Warm pads, cowbells and arpeggios turn this funk-fueled tune into a deep and soothing house track. Marina Trench’s remix of Felipe Gordon acid monster ‘Highly corrosive acid’ sees her adding her own vocal chops and adding an infectious house groove. On the heady end of things, we’ve got Felipe Gordon delivering an extremely smooth rework of Jkriv & Peter Matson’s track ‘New Friend’. Closing the package is Lore of the samurai with a classic house take on Makèz’ album title track ‘City of all’ where a beefy Moog-like bass leads the way with the energy of a thousand clubbing-starved ravers.  
 
We hope this package gives a nice twist to another great year of releases on Heist. Play it loud and dance like nobody’s watching.

Originally released on Chicago’s Guidance imprint in 1996 this record put the Glasgow producers firmly on the deep house map with it’s soulful blend of sparse beats, emotional pads and funk-laden fat bass-lines.
Re-mastered and re-cut with care and love, this release still sounds contemporary and yet retains that special vibe from the time it was created. A true House Music Classic.

One would be mistaken when telling the history of house music without mentioning Undaground Therapy Muzik. Launched in 1996 by Roy Davis Jr. & Odell Braziel, Undaground Therapy Muzik played a pivotal role in exposing the world to House & Disco music through the work of legendary producers like Paul Johnson, Eddie Fowlkes, and the label bosses themselves. Their work would go on to shape artists such as Seth Troxler and Daft Punk, laying the groundwork for this kind of music to be taken into the mainstream.

Although it has been almost 20 years since UTM has released a record, Roy Davis Jr. has partnered with the likes of AD Music Group in London to relaunch the label this year. The ethos of the label is much the same as it always has been - supporting new and emerging talent within House, Disco & Techno and an unapologetic focus on the quality of sound production.

With such a philosophy guiding their principals, it's no surprise that West London native Al Zanders would be the first to come out with a record on the new UTM. Responsible for some of the most hotly tipped underground records of 2017, including releases on Phonica Records and WOLF Music, Mr. Zanders shows off his versatility in his latest EP - featuring 4 tracks ranging across all spectrums of House. For the song titled Television, the young producer puts together a filtered-house gem that unabashedly uses looped melodies to create a feeling that is as spellbinding as it is euphoric. As the track plays, you will notice that it offers up a chance for a closed-eyes boogie in the middle of a set or even on your sofa at home. If you couldn't tell, we're definitely doing the latter as we speak!
