influences that already informed their LOVERS IN LIMBO EP
(KOMPAKT 253), INWARD VISIONS (KOMPAKT 268) and
WUNDERKAMMER (KOMPAKT 308), this new material presents
itself not so much as the collection of DJ-ready peak-time bangers that some would've expected, but as what we admiringly would call a total trip. It sees the duo embark on a universal journey, departing from the club comfort zone and exploring the deeper shades of world electronica from within. Here, each track is part of a bigger story, accomplishing its role in a vibrant, colourful mix of electronic moods, field recordings, traditional instruments and polyglot vocals - a masterfully crafted and fully intoxicating soundscape unlike any other album debut out there.

Norwegian producer Crussen returns to us after a splendid remix of Satori' on the 'In Between Worlds' LP some months ago. The Oslo artists is back on tastemaker Underyourskin and he's come back with an exquisite four tracker strapped under his arm. Also featuring on the release is noted producer Viken Arman, who provides his own intricate rework. Grab a taste from the release exclusively on When We Dip today as we present the idyllic lead from the record 'Breakfast In The Hut'.

After his highly recommended Downbeat doublealbum „Tales from the City / Country“ in 2010, Tobitob comes back with a pocket full of new remixes in 2012.
Cram, Renegades Of Jazz, Marc ‘Dirty’ Deal, Chris Krawall, iGadget, Deja-Move, Apollo Lovemachine, Sebus and Tobitob himself reinterpreted and refreshed the music of the studio mastermind in their very own and unique style.

Deja-Move and Cram are starting up with their remixes, sounding like driving along a palmbeach on a hot summerday. Followed up by Tobitobs very own remix – a deep and excellent remake of the track „Horseback“. The entirely unreleased title „Mangare (2012 Re-Edit)“ reminds us a bit of a mixture between the „Nightridertheme“, Balkan and Electrobeats. A remarkable and strong technoid remix of „Ryhthm Rødsnek (w/ Fünf Sterne Deluxe)” was  delivered by Marc ‚Dirty’ Deal. Be surprised by the work and sound of Apollo Lovemachine, who follows his very own paths, remixing „First Sunrise (w/ DJ Coolmann (Visit Venus))“ in an avantgarde kind of way. Further journeys into Jazz or Deep House as well as Chris Krawall’s Electro orientated music are showing up the wide range of influences that are united on this remix album, ending up in a Dubstep remix by iGadget, who is showing us what the word ‚soundcollage’ can mean.

All in all this album grew into a strong, outstanding, modern and ambitioned electronic record, a must for all fans of Tobitob’s music or for those who want to get addicted to it.

Pandas - Pink Floyd's "Pigs" (kōáti remix)

The original track was created by the Malinese Artist @Lukaproductions. Daniel aka @krautmusica discovered it while being on one of his journeys through the unexplored areas of Soundcloud and he fell in love. He showed us his first raw remix and it was also for us love on first listen. So we got in contact with the original artist and he agreed to let us use the song. 50% of the profit from this track will go to support Luka productions in Mali and the other 50% will be donated straight to the Water Project of @LoveFoundation in Kenia.
