Sungate joins friends and family with a V.A in support of the victims of the storms in Valencia.

On October 28th, flash floods decimated the better part of the southern and western areas of Valencia, alongside many other points of Spain. What followed was a catastrophic event resulting in storm surges, collapsing bridges, thousands stuck on roads and streets, ultimately leading to a death toll that is now estimated over 200, and unfortunately, rising.

Homes, animal shelters, businesses and families have been destroyed by this catastrophe. An event that caught thousands out in the street, heading to and from school, work, and daily lives unalerted. Severe warnings only got to our phones 10 hours after, despite being warned by weather centers and flood prevention institutions for days.

With Sungate’s staff both residing and having ties to the city, we’ve decided to release “Healing Rays”, a compilation of 22 tracks by artists close to the label to gather funds to re-distribute to those most in need, buy essential products and help in the re-construction of a damaged region. We are joining a series of charitable releases from others in the city that has seen a wave of supporting press, and more importantly, an overwhelming amount of support.

We are infinitely thankful to Marco Spaventi for mastering this release and all the artists that have given their music away for the cause.

We are super happy to have a new talent onboard A373 is a mysterious Colombian producer who dives deep into the organic realms of techno, combining mentalism and physicalism into a danceable entity.

For his debut in our label, he provides no less than six cuts of straight to the point futurism, starting with the selvatic "Jiiri Kurii", a mixture of jungle ambiances and broken rhythms perfect to start the sonic travel that comes ahead.

"Kodama" puts things directly on the dancefloor, with a heavy Birmingham classy touch, obsessive and mind drilling.

Third cut "Konjac (9 8 r p m Remix)" remixed by fellow Colombian producer, 98 r p m, preserves the tension of the previous one, adding more asymmetrical synth lines and a shuffled groove.

Number four is the original version of "Konjac", a heavier approach than the remake, designed for peak time action.

"Rite" comes next, keeping the gymnastic vibe, another anabolic drill for the twisted minds out there.

Closing the release, "Ruasara", fast and tribal, like a soundtrack of an hysterical run into the jungle’s depths.

Ükrenek is a techno Dj & Sound Designer with his unique dub-techno style,
born in Bariloche, Argentina. 
In his teenage years he dj’d at the local club in the city, sooner on he turned his attention to electronic music and decided to transform his hobbie into a career. When he finished school he traveled to Buenos Aires to study in a music institution of electronic music to perfectionate his techniques and abilities.
During his college courses he organized events in the big city with his college buddies, originating the Wertz Electronic Group cycle.
He enjoys creating atmospheric industrial sounds using continuous melodies and dynamic percussions.
