ALKHEMY’s The Black Hole turns three years-old, and to celebrate, the Brooklyn-based collective has called upon some of the mightiest in the galaxy to create this dance floor-ready compilation. The 27 artists featured on this VA were invited to participate by combining their signature production styles with a Black Hole-inspired twist, to showcase a range of the world’s raviest sounds. Over a third of the participating artists have headlined The Black Hole for their US debut or NY debut, including, Scan 7, Plural (Kukri), Keepsakes, D. Carbone, 138, Axel Picodot and WarinD. Each providing a nostalgic glimpse into their respective journeys through Brooklyn’s favorite galactic rave. The remaining artists have brought forth their own unique sounds, creating an undeniably powerful collection of tracks that will leave a lasting mark on 2019.

The compilation is just as diverse as the dance floors at The Black Hole and as well as the lineups assembled by ALKHEMY. Proudly bringing artists from the US, South America and Europe together. Another example of the power that lays behind unity.

The cover art, which was inspired by the iconic flyers of The Black Hole, who are always put together by Danny Garber, was designed by Detroit legend, Alan Oldham aka DJ T-1000. Being that ALKHEMY’s mission is to highlight diversity in techno, Alan carried on the tradition of The Black Hole’s flyers where people of color and women are showcased in a powerful manner. Keeping the mastering mainly in-house, 80% of the tracks were mastered by ALKHEMY’s Buzzi.

For the ninth release in their main label series Haven are proud to be inviting German production duo New Frames for their first full EP on the label, following on from the release of ‘Scatter’ on Haven’s first VA compilation - easily one of 2019’s biggest tracks with support across the board. Made up of Mathis Mootz (of The Panacea fame) and David Frisch, this powerhouse of a duo are releasing some of the most powerful and exciting tracks of recent years.

The A1 launches the record with the apocalyptic ‘Eine Andere Welt’ - a true peak-time smasher showcasing the duo’s production capability, with epic rave synth work, pounding drums, and crunchy sound design already proving to move international dance floors. This is followed by ‘Stylized Fear’ on the A2, utilising broken drum patters, perilous vocal chants and threatening atmospheres in a hectic roller. The flip is kicked off with ‘The End Of It All’ on the B1 bringing things back to slamming 4-4 territory - where ominous and powerful synth design, stomping drum rhythms, and a DnB-inspired breakdown provide another soundtrack to club madness in the duo’s discography. Finally the B2 closes the record with an enormous Perc remix of the A1 tune, finishing with another potent piece of dance floor fodder from Haven.

We are proud to start 2021 with our first ever eco-friendly vinyl release - a very unique and stunning EP from the Irish producer
and Rebekah's current favorite artist - DAHRYL.

The blend of hard industrial and 90's inspired techno comes
perfectly in his very qualitative work. Each track is a true
masterpiece filled with his various outstanding elements, from
polished juggernaut kickdrums paired with jacking vocals &
piercing synths that leave your goosebumps with goosebumps!
We believe some of the best from the artist yet!

The Meaning Of Rave is also honored with remixes from well
known and respected dutch and Italian duos - Ghost In The
Machine and RVDE. The constant reflective and futuristic tension
from GITM remix is surprising with its provoking drills break while
the Italian vision of Nightmare is more ravey with sharp
groove-based drums and driving atmospheric backgrounds that
finish the EP perfectly.

In the end we are having a total recovery after those hard times
in 2020.
