And where did these guys all start out? On Ram Records, the label run by the multiple award winning and globally recognised king of DnB, Andy C. Mistajam takes a trip to Hornchurch, Essex, the home of Ram HQ, to dig deep into the vaults with label bosses Andy and Scott Bourne (aka Red One). With new interviews from Chase & Status, DJ

Fresh and Sub Focus, Mistajam looks back at the legendary label's pivotal releases from underground Valley Of The Shadows, to the first breakthrough DnB track - Bodyrock, right up to Chase & Status' debut album - More Than Alot. 7 Fresh talks about having Andy as a mentor, even for his most recent track - The Feeling; Chase & Status and Sub Focus both agree on the importance of having a release on RAM; and Delta Heavy explains how Andy has inspired the whole scene's style of mixing DnB.

Kobra Kai is a live five piece Bass Music act combining sounds of Drum ‘n’ Bass, Dubstep and Hip Hop. 

Incredible energy and showmanship are the true trademarks of Kobra Kai, their ability to life a crowds energy levels to the roof and create a frenzy is second to none.

Kobra Kai utilise powerful music technology to work in a parallel world between the home digital studio and the live stage, combining live electronic and acoustic drums, various synthesizers, guitars and a range of vocals. Kobra Kai wield a unique live stetup, to deliver a unique, powerful electronic sound, successfully moulding the club scene with the live scene.

Over the years, Kobra Kai have been humbly decorated with a sound list of achievements. In 2007, the band won Triple J’s state by state Unearthed competition and were subsequently chosen to play at the Parklife festival. Later, also snaring slots at The Big Day Out, Futuremusic and more recently Space Ibiza, Stereosonic and Creamfields (2011), as well as proudly performing at community festivals including Newtown and Surry Hills Festivals. International supports have included Roni Size & Dynamite MC, Killa Kella, DJ Marky & Stamina, Concord Dawn, High Contrast, Andy C and recently, Skrillex (April 2011) to a most receptive Sydney dubstep crowd.

2011 will finally see the long awaited release of Kobra Kai’s LP, having been recorded in Sydney and mixed by high profile London DJ / producer, BK.
