Finnish multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer Jimi Tenor (born Lassi Lehto, 1965) is a restless creative spirit that has experimented with photography, short film direction and clothes design. During his career he has released several albums on renowned labels (Warp, Sähkö Recordings, Kitty-Yo, etc) including collaborations with legendary musicians such as Tony Allen and Mika Vainio among others.

Jimi Tenor’s distinctive style moves towards the 60s and 70s jazz, psychedelic soul, African funk, orchestral compositions, soundtracks and exotica mixed with electronics. Identified by peculiar musical instruments made from scrap materials; used on stage and during recording sessions. Excellent techniques combined with afro - futuristic notes in a finnish cool finesse.

Fun fact, Tenor & Vainio released a collaborative record in ‘96 under the alias KOCMOC where Vainio’s icy minimalism met Tenor’s warm jazz charms in a lounge-like echo of Pekka Aiaksinen for Sähkö’s Puu sublabel.

Warm, hazy pads and double bass sounds are crafted skillfully in a  dub flavoured style. Tight drum patterns processed down with sample based techniques alongside echoing brass offer a mellow but heavy soundscape. In this 1h mix, Skalpel meet Dabrye, Squarepusher and Vladislav Delay.

Over the past two years, sound artist Manuela Schininà has designed this radio show as an eclectic selection of songs mixed with field recordings, snippets of YouTube material, and more. S&C, in addition to being broadcast by this radio station, has become the soundtrack for a social dance event that occasionally takes place in Berlin. Emmanouil Koutsourelis was a radio producer in the Third Program of ERA where he presented curated shows such as 'Double Fantasy', 'Minimal' and 'True Reality'. The latter through ERT, represented Greece in 2009, '10 and '11 at the International Festival of Television - Radio and New Technologies, Prix Europa in Berlin and Unesco's International Radio Festival. He participated as a producer on TV production of ERT1. Also was a theatre director and a founding member of the urban non-profit company Art Syndicate, founded in 1986 and still active in the field of contemporary arts.

Emmanouil died at the age of 62, as announced by ERT last December, noting that he cultivated radio education and the enjoyment of the radio listening experience.
