Dutch artist Joren Edwards has consistently impressed with his deep, yet thoroughly techy output. With sterling editions of his work finding rightful homes on labels such as Crossed Grooves, Atipic, PIV, VBX, as well as an incoming bomb EP for Italian imprint Fake Society, few can deny his credentials. One feat that few can lay claim to is being as deft in front of a pair of turntables as they are in the studio, Joren takes this offering one step further with a kick ass live set to boot.

Utilising hardware to create and recreate music is what playing live is all about and Joren is well known for his love of gear. On his live set for our InSession series he makes use of his trusty APC, Elektron Digitone, and Roland TR8S and the results are a deep, lush trip through minimal techno. Joren has also opted to add his laptop to his setup where all manner of processing and sample triggering is housed, we can only imagine of the goldmine of apps and musical extracts live here. Recorded live at his home studio, this live set is a like a warm cosy blanket that envelopes the listener from start to finish. One to be enjoyed in a comfy chair with headphones as well as at full volume while getting your groove on.

New podcast alert! This one is a live cut by Phil Simon from our latest gathering at Sandershaus Garten. He took over in the early afternoon, capturing the grey and moody atmosphere with a very elegant track selection and a stripped-back mixing style. Well-placed rhythms guide the set into a gentle drive with a touch of introspection.

DEEPDIVE 006 - Oelek

Sheshhhhh I have been missing my Brudi a lot throughout this year's edition of family affairs, one of the cutest and most meaningful places for us to engage, participate and play. Thanks so much to the whole family for the amazing weekend we got to spend together and all the love and effort you have put into this. Seeing old friends and making new ones in this circle is especially easy, natural and fun. What a way to close summer (holy moly were we lucky with the weather). 
Special shoutout to Paul and Jasper for owning the tech-setup and artist management. You have been amazing. I enjoyed this set on Saturday night a lot, one of the most fun ones I got to play up to now.
