For the first installment of our brand new mix series "3024 TAPES" we are super proud to present Black Rave Culture!   James Bangura, Dj Native Sun and Amal provided an EPIC 3 hour rave journey for your enjoyment!  Repost and link as much as you like and let the music travel!  

3024:   Please describe the mix in a single sentence ? 

BRC :  "I’d say the mix was like water, a natural flow that we usually lock into when we’re DJing together."


3024: What DJ inspires you at the moment / has inspired you throughout the years and why?

BRC: "For inspirations, I’d say a lot of the greats who came before us that we’ve had the opportunity to perform with. Juan Atkins, Carl Craig, etc. We haven’t had the opportunity to perform with him yet but Goldie is also an inspiration. These are folks that paved their own way ya know."



3024: What are you working on / what have you got forthcoming? 

BRC: "BRC 3 is in the works and is slated for release next year. We also have individual projects slated for release next year also."

In an time of almost surveillance-like coverage of popular musicians, where artists are expected to be 100% available and known to their fans, there stands Burial. Antithetical to the social media era, William Bevan continues to be (mostly) a figure of mystery to his legion of fans.  

His signature sound transmutes a postmodern patchwork of samples – R&B vocals, video game soundtracks, field-recorded ephemera, and organic percussive elements – into a club melancholia that could only come from London.
