this mix is the definition of dubstep. 2007. the genre was already having an identity crisis. house and techno influences were creeping in. the future looked really bright. shit was getting wonky. i still listen to this mix every other week or so

this total work is like classic's literature book, or a part of mandatory initialization ritual. once you've done with listening you become more mature. mature in the aspect of musical taste.

This year I was lucky enough to play on the truly iconic IICON stage in Block9 at Glastonbury Festival so decided to bring a slice of it to this mix – “One Hour Of IICON” – for those asking for a recording 💘

I was opening the stage for the night for 2.5 hours – including soundtracking the sun setting - so it’s been an absolute mission to re-record some of that slow build set into <60 minutes. As always this mix prioritises new music from underground producers but also showed respect to the originators with a couple classics 🎖️ I hope you enjoy what’s in here!
