Yashar (Crimson Child) and I (Kenan) met in late 2017 and we quickly became good friends, sharing our stories of our middle eastern backgrounds and our passions in music. Yashar, having had multiple years of production experience, became a mentor to me and helped me to develop my sound into what the Kode PinK project initially began as; a melodic bass music project spanning genres from trap to future bass. Fast forward 4 years, and Calvin (who also originated in the bass music scene) joined the Kode PinK project, and we decided to take the music in an entirely new direction with a focus on pop inspired EDM. 

This track, although off brand from our soon to come releases, is an homage to our background in bass music. Easily the heaviest track either of us have ever produced, it was an honor and a pleasure to bring our own high-energy interpretation to this eerie cinematic original. We hope you all enjoy!

3 years ago, we met @just.bnji on an IG live and it didn’t take long for us to become friends. He sent us this idea he had via phone recording and we knew exactly what we wanted to create from it. And since then, he’s been locked in our basement and continues to write us thousands of toplines 😂

This song is about seeing a crappy ex get what they deserve…whether that be a pie to the face, a volleyball spike straight to the dome, or getting abducted by an escaped gorilla from the LA zoo 👀

“Sing” is a story of loss. And although it speaks of the loss of something most precious to someone, it’s true meaning may not be what you might expect. This song is the true story of the internal struggle of a once-aspiring vocalist who is faced with the harsh reality that her voice can no longer carry her to the dream she once envisioned for herself.

Megan Lee, a multi-talented artist who has shined in her endeavors as a creative since an early age, succumbed to an uncommon and unfortunate ailment called “Muscle Tension Dysphonia” due to years of straining her voice in pursuit of her dream career. The illness, which is caused by excess tension in and around the vocal cords, leads to the gradual weakening of the voice as well as pain, hoarseness, and the eventual inability to sing. Megan, stricken with sadness of this difficult truth, came together with her good friends, Kode PinK, to create the ballad that would be her farewell from her journey as a solo act. Given that music is her dearest passion, she continues to write for other artists across the world while she embarks on her journey of healing. This song is an ode to that passion.

Holy crap guys! After over a year of rebranding the project, "Run with You" featuring our good friend, Ty Black is finally out!!!

This song is the reason Calvin and I teamed up as a duo and is our first original to release from our rebrand as dance pop artists. It started off as a collab between our 2 projects when we realized that as much as we love to make heavy drop bangers, our true passion came from telling relatable stories through the eyes of the listeners. We sat down with our co-songwriter, Anthony Bonadonna, and the story unfolded in just a few hours.

"Run with You" is about someone with a history of mistakes in their life who then meets another person they fall in love with and are willing to change for. Its a happy and uplifting song meant to signify the developing chemistry between the 2 characters as they fall in love with each other while highlighting the internal conflicts faced by each individual. On one end, there is the conflict of regret contrasted by the hope for acceptance, and on the other end, distrust and hesitancy is faced with passion and the willingness to forgive.

When we wrote this topline with our good friend and phenomenal songwriter, Anthony Bonadonna, we knew we had to find the right vocalist to deliver the message and Dani absolutely crushed it 🔥

We wrote this song as a middle finger to the double standard that women face regularly in society across the world. Guys so often talk about having side chicks in their music yet cling on to close minded traditional mindsets and shame women who might speak in the same manner of promiscuity. The song is more symbolic in nature rather than an advocacy for infidelity and I think we got our point across.
