Raising Theos was started by Drake and Sofia (Kodiac) in 2009. It was their first musical endeavor together. Both had been in different bands throughout the early 2000's and decided it was time to create something that would bring their, very different but unique, taste in music into a band.

Having grown up together on the sandy beaches of Florida, brother and sister duo Drake and Sofia have been making music together since childhood. They have been in several bands together including, "Raising Theos" and "Drake and Sofia." After splitting up to dip their toes in various musical projects for a few years, the pair recently reunited to form their current indie rock project titled "Kodiac." 

On their "Drake and Sofia" EP, We Had Everything Planned Out, the siblings managed to create a brand of indie rock that was comforting and nostalgic, while succeeding at tearing at the heart strings with beautiful and honest naivety. The EP showcases the creamy-smooth, high-register vocals of Drake Sweet, intertwined with the soulful and heartwarming cries of his sister, Sofia. The songs are performed over the backdrop of a tastefully structured harmony of guitars, piano, bass and drums.

Now as "Kodiac," the brother and sister have recorded a new album due to come out in the next few months. This album was inspired by: travel, love, breakups, getting back together and breaking up again. It still has the "feel good" sound of earlier albums but touches on some real life, relatable problems and tough decisions that everyone deals with once in awhile. This is album is very personal for both of the siblings and comes from the heart while it still maintains their signature upbeat, indie-pop feel.
