Love your use of percussion with electronic elements. Gives me a BoC vibe but with more trip-hop. Concept 15 in particular is like Roygbiv meets the immortal drum break. Peace & love!

This release features 9 original tracks and a bonus track, “Spira Mirablis” - currently featured in the MTV/Harmonix iPod video game “Phase.” The concept for the record was born of a series of photographs, each one serving as a springboard for the music.  The album explores how images of environments, landscapes, people, and objects are used to evoke musical ideas; each image giving rise to various rhythms, chords, and sonic textures.  The photos were taken in Italy, China, Japan, Switzerland, & around the US.  The CD release has a deluxe package that includes an expanded booklet featuring all 9 photos.

The debut release from the Dama Dama label comes from co-founder Pedestrian in the shape of "Circadian Rhythms” - a 4 track concept EP. Each track represents a different time of day throughout the 24 hour cycle, with the 12” divided into a “Day Side” and a “Night Side”.

The day begins with “Simple Minded At Dawn”, a sleepy, beat-less meditation constructed of heavily processed electric pianos and cellos, and then moves onto the hazy summer’s afternoon cut of “Deep In Daylight”. Flip it over and day turns into night where things start to get a little deeper and darker with “Torn Blue”, a peak time dance floor number which steadily builds in intensity and crescendos into “JNT". A 4am 2-step roller, the EP’s closing number is a collaboration with label co-founders Maribou State which works its way into a climax of looping African vocals, synths and strings before breaking into a blissful wind down where “Simple Minded At Dawn” starts fading back in, emphasising the cyclical nature of night turning into day and prompting the listener to flip it once again and repeat the process.

Kodomo is moniker for electronic music producer and composer Chris Child.  Kodomo’s work spans several genera’s and can be cinematic, dance driven, and dreamlike, with roots in IDM, minimalism, techno, and various styles of ambient music.  Child is also an Emmy award winning TV composer and has contributed music for a handful of games developed by Harmonix.  His music is regularly featured on NPR news shows.
