Finalizing the exceptional series that celebrates the legacy of two decades of Poker Flat Recordings, label-head Steve Bug drops another batch of stunning reworks of the label's classic tracks.

The EP kicks off with his seminal 'A Night Like This' which originally dropped back in 2001. Here it gets the treatment from label ally Mihai Popoviciu - the Romanian producer brings a new twist, shaping the material into a streamlined tech-house roller that is both faithful to the original and completely his own vibe.

Similarly, Germany's Sven Tasnadi brings his own particular feel for house and techno, tweaking Steve Bug’s 1999 classic 'Loverboy' into a slick, weaponized bomb, built around a minimal riff and slowly unfurling into something quite epic.

Next up is Lele Sacchi, the DJ, producer and promoter from Milan, who reworks 'FR 101.2' from 2004, re-emphasising the track’s main room prowess. His Dub Beat remix strips the track down to its basic elements, while keeping the energy on full.

Also included as a shop exclusive is 'You Make Me Feel (The Midnight Perverts Feeling nostalgic reinterpretation)', which as the title suggests, takes us back to 2002 via a chunky, rolling rework.

Poker Flat Recordings keeps up its prodigious release schedule with another superb EP - this time by scene statesmen Gorge and Markus Homm. Gorge (aka Pit Waldmann) is the co-owner of 8bit Records, originally from Mannheim and has carved a singular niche for himself over the past 20-odd years. Similarly. Markus Homm has been deeply influential in developing the scene in his native Romania, and is now working alongside the Poker Flat regular Mihai Popoviciu.

With this EP Gorge and Markus Homm have merged their many talents and honed two tracks of depth and weight. 'Holos' is a tightly wound slice of superior tech house, textured and layered with lush chords and a thick lower end.

'Glint' also showcases the duo's mutual understanding of the dynamics of the dance floor - a slick groove is enhanced and expanded via subtle and effective melodic elements, including a pinch of acidic 303 sounds.

Not just a beloved pair of artists come back to our ranks for this ERM128 - Ki Creighton & Makanan - but another two really huge DJs and producers have granted us the honor of remixing the duo. Paco Osuna and Yousef join elrow Music's roster of remixes with their own reinterpretation of this 'Lucid Dream EP', a four tracker EP with two originals by the pair and the two high-rolling remixes that starts with the track naming the EP.

'Lucid Dreams (Original Mix)' is an interesting work by Ki Creighton &Makanan, full of techy vibes, strong, tight percussion, a nice synth treatment that goes along the track and a remarkable vocal line by Shyam P. Paco Osuna reinterprets this track - 'Lucid Dreams (Paco Osuna Remix)' - giving it a techno twist, with a minimalist and repetitive progression, making an amazing use of the vocal line, turning the track into a total dancefloor killer thanks to the master use of the strings and the silence in certain moments of the track.

Then we have 'Black Heart (Original Mix)', a steadier and faster track in which Ki Creighton & Makanan make a great use of some bass sounds and wooden instruments, all combined with a great set of vocals that deepen the track along its overall vibe, closer to stronger and steadier rhythms, with a core progression that will tear up some dancefloors here and there. Finally, closing the EP is 'Black Heart (Yousef Circus Rework)', in which Circus' boss, Yousef, makes a more light-hearted track, with a techier progression, that comes closer to the house sound than the other tracks in this EP, deepening the vocal line, creating a clear breakdown by the middle of the song, and making this the most festive track of the bunch.

All in all, an amazing work by Ki Creighton & Makanan, that make a huge comeback to the label, that is rounded up by the astonishing reworks of two of the current heavyweights of the scene, Paco Osuna & Yousef. One of our most complete EPs to date! Don't miss it!

The 20 Years of Poker Flat celebration is truly the gift that keeps on giving. 

Here we have two perfect examples - Guti and Greg Gow revisiting some seminal moments by the power-combo of Steve Bug and Cle. 
First up is a rework of Behind the Curtains - originally released in 2007 and a masterful example of the deeper, minimal sound of that time. Here, South American legend Guti switches up the parts and delivers a tough, contemporary take on the classic. Maintaining the stripped down vibe the track is augmented by lush pads and sharp beats. 

Similarly, Canadian producer Greg Gow takes on Seven Hills from 2011, and manages to sculpt a firing, lean rhythmic workout that would under any normal circumstances set the dance floor ablaze.
