The seventh installment of our PRO series comes from Berlin's lively electronic music scene, in which our new guest shines as a brilliant DJ and hit-producer.

Originally from Würzburg, Germany, Johannes Albert's musical journey from house and disco to techno, acid, and beyond began in his youth. His likable nature and crowd-reading skills, helped him transition from hometown clubs and private parties to a staple in the German electronic music scene.

Touring globally nowdays, his DJ sets still reflect an open-minded approach, fusing modern disco and house with acid, dropping classics, and embracing other genres.

Johannes wears multiple hats as a DJ, producer, and the force behind Frank Music and Fine. Frank Music is mainly the platform for his own productions, including several albums in his catalogue, both solo and together with Iron Curtis. I:Cube, Biesmans, Fred P, and others have also contributed. Fine is rooted to ignite the dancefloor with house music in collaboration with his partner in crime Tilman.

Worth to mention that his work can also be found on other well-known imprints such as Permanent Vacation, Live at Robert Johnson, Uncanny Valley, Future Disco or Renate Schallplatten. 

Johannes Albert is without question a key essential figure in the electronic music forefront.

Johannes Albert's magnetic DJ reputation has catapulted him to stages from London to Tokyo, Augsburg to Cape Town. This is no surprise, given his impressive dual role as the head of his labels, Frank Music and Fine. His musical contributions extend beyond, gracing imprints like Live At Robert Johnson and Permanent Vacation. Known for eclectic mixes and a range of genre-spanning aliases, Johannes effortlessly infuses modern disco euphoria with a touch of acid, seamlessly blending classics and displaying an open mind towards genres, even embracing current rave revivals.

Hailing from the enchanting region of Franconia near Würzburg, Johannes's journey began with a fascination for the house and disco sounds of the time, evolving into a deep exploration of techno, acid, electro, italo, and beyond. Endowed with the essential DJ quality of amiability, propelling him from hometown clubs to a staple of the German scene.

Frank Music, initially a platform for Johannes Albert's productions, has birthed four solo albums, including the ambient masterpiece "Spessart." Tracks like "Endorphin Refill" and "Fountain Of Youth" have become anthems, with contributions from artists such as I:Cube, Lauer, Fred P, Ladymonixx, Boris Dlugosch, David Jackson & Gerd Janson. Meanwhile, Fine, managed alongside Tilman, is firmly rooted in House Music, where a simple sample and beat can set the dance floor ablaze.

In 2024, Frank Music releases "Moon IV," a collaborative album with Iron Curtis, showcasing their moody material. Johannes Albert, often associated with summery, uplifting mixes, surprises with his versatility, evident in remixes for Riva Starr & Mark Broom, Alan Dixon, andhim, Super Flu, Keinemusik & Catz ‘N Dogz.

Having found kindred spirits in the many hotspots of Berlin, Johannes is one of the very few DJs who can equally adjust to the many floors of the city, being a regular at Watergate, Tresor, Sisyphos, Else, about blank, Renate and the likes. Embracing an 'anything goes, super fun' approach, he considers Berlin the perfect home base to explore his myriad influences, ensuring a box of fully road-tested tricks for every club and festival adventure.

Their sound is a blend of everything they love to mix in their DJ sets - from House to slow techno and from disco to acid. To quote the boys “We make people dance!”
They’ve released on labels HE.SHE.THEY, Cormac’s Polari Records, Permanent Vacation, Future Disco, Iptamenos Discos and Love Child.

Body Talk is a party concept in Antwerp run by John Noseda (We Can Dance, Body Talk, Running Back) & Bordel. Also a radio show now once a month on WAV with local to international guests.
