A few years ago, I stumbled upon the incredible single “Chiquita” by Rico & C. aka Giovanni Ephrikian, released in 1984 on his Holly Records. It was a chance discovery that instantly captured my heart.

Inspired by its magic, I felt compelled to give it my own touch, enhancing its energy to create something truly special that I could share with all of you. Little did I know that this decision would lead to an extraordinary journey.

Since then, numerous DJs have embraced its enchanting sound, featuring it at prestigious festivals around the world. Many of you have reached out, asking about the title of this track.

Now, with the kind permission of Giovanni himself, I am delighted to announce that “Chiquita” is finally available everywhere. It has found its home on my brand-new record label, alto mare.
