Power Dynamics is the debut by FORUM on OOM Records. Four powerful tracks with a perfectly crafted late 90's feel. Fast, loopy tools to create serious damage. Opening track 'Backstab' starts full force in energy. Deep basses, smart stabs and an ongoing sequence. Second track 'Convince' continues with the same energy. Heavy stabs, bold basses and strong beats. 

On the flip side we have 'Confront'. Different ingredients, same execution. Closing track 'Stalk' delivers a solid groove with subtle details. An impressive debut by FORUM, todays tastemaker.

Hailing originally from Milan, Italy, the young Alarico has been popping up left and right internationally on various flyers and record releases, both of them hinting at a great career in the making. Part of a new freshman class of artists working on raw, deep, and quick techno, his productions often result in psychotic effect. Fast, swinging hats chase a rolling synth line made only more erratic by confronting stabs.

In an era where emulating vintage sound is the trend, Alarico takes the best of the past and extracts the cheapness before looking forward, creating records of very reliable effect that have been employed by the world’s top selectors. Taking all of this into account, it would only make sense to have him release on HAYES collective, do a 14-track mental breakdown of a record on Diffuse Reality, do his first contribution to Token, or deliver probably his most successful release yet on Amsterdam’s OOM Records.

Driving, uplifting, hypnotic and genre-fluid are adjectives that suggest an idea of Eluzid’s sound. Her chosen tracks are not necessarily characterized by a concise structure. They combine in smooth transitions, with Eluzid managing to incorporate sound influences from a wide variety of electronic music genres into her sets, which build up in energy. Her intention here: to encourage movement and create an open, creative and inclusive space.
For her, music, especially DJing, helps to calm down even in the hectic club setting; according to her motto: soft focus, quiet confidence.
