Hello WACH, 
My passion for collecting and mixing records began in the late 90s, influenced by techno and breakbeat labels like @wearebonzai, @planetedetroit, and @fingerlickinmanagement. This led to my passion for the Minimal House movement in the mid-to-late 2000s and the opportunity to be part of the lovely Vrstck Club (Dortmund) as a resident DJ.

Now, a decade later, I’m thrilled to have the chance again to spread the music I love as part of a collective - @kollektivwach.

Today, my style is heavily shaped by the thriving Mexican techno scene, with its unique sound characteristics and producers like @rebolledostyle, @zombiesinmiami, @inigovontier, @theusmago, and many others.

I hope you enjoy my first set for Radio WACH!

The common denominator in all music that @amoreno_music has played in his life as a DJ was and will always be to move people and hearts. Whoa! What a ride. 😍 my first time playing this wonderful place created by my dear friends. I had to hold back and maintain to save the energy for the closing. Hour by hour my anticipation grew into excitement to finally unleash. Hope all dancers and listeners enjoyed it as much as I did. 

This one is was characterized as a kind of ritual and that’s what it is. Warming up with warm afrohouse tunes, turning into deeper more tech house style music to return via indy to a classic house sound, always looking for strong driving grooves. 

Essentially heaps of good music that make my heart thump and my feet move. Hope you feel the same way too.

This selection was originally compiled for and played at a solidarity party on the 13th of December 2024 at LKA (Lindener Kneipenausschuss) in Hannover. 
It reflects on the variety of musical influences that impact my DJ sets. 
When my long-term b2b-buddy @dj_deep_talk asked me to contribute for WACH radio, I took it as an opportunity to rearrange and re-record the mix to present it to a bigger community.
Vinyl only, so excuse the slightly crackling needle.

We are Kollektiv WACH, met on the basis of friendship and love for each other, for music and for our spaces and environment.

We are acting in different groups in the Hamburg scene as DJs, Artists, Activists, Architects, and in Gastronomy as support for other collectives or Clubs, or as hosts for parties and open airs.

The spaces and platforms we have, could be played more intensively to challenge our community by adding social or environmental relevant context. Our Idea is to start a dialogue on eye level, to inform without teaching, to set impulses without forcing.

We do believe this can and should coexist in our community, since we have always felt a lack of this when partying. 

Our mission is to catch the energy we all have and channel it to create impulses or actions that may last or ideally have an impact – not only on the parties – prospectively in our daily lives.
We want to learn from each other to grow together.
