Widely known Polynesian reggae artist in Hawaii, selling 15.5K albums. Album features Richie Spice, Tarrus Riley, Fiji, Million Stylez and Morgan Heritage.  
For lovers of Roots, lovers rock, reggae and dancehall comes Samoan reggae sensation J Boog. 

J Boog is a man of many influences. The singer of Samoan descent was born in Long Beach and raised on Compton, California. Growing up in the rough streets of Compton, the strong sense of tradition and culture that J Boog absorbed from his family was instrumental in his path to stay off the streets and begin a successful music career.
His new album, "Back Yard Boogie" is slated for release in 2011 and features some reggae giants like Richie Spice, Tarrus Riley, Fiji and Morgan Heritage, as well as Hip-Hop superstar Snoop Dogg. J Boog is excited about the future and all the amazing progress he's seen in such a short time.
At the age of four, after hearing his older sister playing the piano, he developed an interest in it and started watching her and learning about music. Soon, J was singing along to the notes &amp; melodies he heard his sister play. A while later, she brought home a Bob Marley song book. Even at this young age, J knew Bob's name and his music. Upon hearing his sister begin to play, something clicked inside J. He hasn't been the same since.

The first time J Boog sang for a crowd, he was nine years old. It was a large family reunion at a church and there were about 200 people present.
J's mother and sister insisted for him to sing Whitney Houston's "One Moment In Time" and J obliged them. Though he was nervous, it went quite well.
J Boog's music career became serious in 2005, when he caught the ear of his favorite ratios, George "Fiji" Veikoso". The two began working together immediately and J ended up moving to Hawaii in 2006 to continue developing his craft. After releasing his debut album "Hear Me Roar" in 2007, he joined the musical family Wash House Music Inc, a record label based in Hawaii and San Francisco.
A year later, in 2008, J Boog met Gramps Morgan of Morgan Heritage and there was an instant chemistry. Gramps was keen on working with J,
and set out to make a way. Shortly after, Gramps, J Boog and other Wash House family members were in Jamaica recording in such prestigious places as Bob Marley's "Tuff Gong" Studio, Don Corleone's "Hit Maker", Bobby Digital's "Digital B", Shaggy's "Big Yard", Sugar Minott's "Youth Man Promotion" and more.
The results are apparent when listening to Boog's new music. It is authentic Island Music and genuine Jamaican reggae at the same time. Truly a new and exciting combination. There is a natural theme to Boog's writing: love. It recurs throughout his work and never once seems contrived. When you listen, you will feel he truly knows matters of the heart.

Kolohe Kai – A local Hawaii reggae band that began in high school, Kolohe Kai translates in Hawaiian to “rascal waters”. Leader singer and song-writer Roman De Peralta started writing songs at the age of fifteen and was noticed by a very successful record label here in Hawaii. After winning the state-wide talent show “Brown Bags to Stardom”, Roman went on his way with a group of friends to release an all-original album entitled “This is the Life”. As a senior in high school, Roman never expected to have his very first song on the radio. The unexpected success of this album lead Kolohe Kai to graduate high school in 2010 with two Na Hoku Hanohano award nominations. After releasing the second album “Love Town”, Kolohe Kai made their official New Zealand and Australia debut, head-lining their very first tour. After much traveling and performing, Roman decided to take a break, which lasted a couple years. Now renewed and refreshed Kolohe Kai has returned and has just released a third album entitled “Paradise”. This all-original album contains ten songs Roman wrote while away from his music career. He spent the majority of his time volunteering to help people discover a better future through Bible education. With all the love and joy experienced on that journey, the album track “Paradise” was inspired. He hopes the fans feel that same happiness from his music. Through all the trials and heartache these days can bring, Kolohe Kai is continuing to see the good in life and share that view with millions around the world.
