Now the acclaimed DJ and Defected radio host returns with the second of five singles on Defected planned for 2024, ‘Saved By The Record’, alongside the talented vocalist Josh Barry, an artist who has previously appeared on records by Nile Rodgers and Gorgon City. The song’s lyrics take inspiration from some of the most famous house and electronic records; Josh’s powerful vocals deftly weave over Sam’s precise and bassy production style, creating a personal and infectious house record to prepare us for the summer season.
