This is the first in our Podcast Series here at Koma. The full Koma Crew and Special Guests will be featured within this series. Next up on the Koma Podcast is another good friend of ours , Paul Byrne. Coming from Limerick, Paul is a resident of the infamous DIE night in limerick along with running his own night Riddim & Groove with his close mate Teige Butler where the Koma Crew have on several occassions.

Paul is a a great selector and this mix shows off his eclectic taste in house that is deeply routed in the 90's. Gorgeous tunes throughout this mix that are perfect for any setting.



KomaPodcast #009 - Paul Byrne

Koma is back after a 4 year hiatus. Our first release is none other than Jizz. Hailing all the way from Mexico, Jizz has been gaining great momentum across the house scene most recently with his release from our good friends at Rawsome Recordings. His Onyx EP has made heads turn with lead single Onyx sky rocketing through the charts. Hitting a #1 spot on Traxsource Minimal/Deep Tech charts and #5 on Beatport Minimal/Deep Tech charts.
He is now back with his Take Control EP with two chord stabbing tracks ready to make you move.
Take Control is a moody tech vibe with a hypnotic vocal ripped for a late night set until the early hours.
Float is a main room deep tech tune with a great vocal sample. This tune is pure peak time vibes with Jizz’s clear distinct chords. This one is going to go far!
We welcome Conor Harris to the team with a killer remix of Float. He hits us with a real heavy deep house vibe to a peak time tune. He puts his own stamp on this track with his recognisable heavy bass lines,  ready for the big sound systems.

Next up we welcome Dublin based duo Cedarwood State Trax. The duo is made up of Liam Doherty and Caolan Cooke.
These guys have really caught our eye in the last couple of months with releases on their own imprint “Out Of Stock” and a number of free download tracks from their soundcloud that have completely blown up.

The Duo are well known on the dancefloors of Dublin with their own resident night “Grasp” which you can catch them showcasing all their released and unreleased tracks.
Their Stockroom Jamz EP is full of absolute floor fillers, expressing their love for 90’s House and Garage throughout their music.

Can U Feel It has a rolling 90’s stab and a heavy 909 kick with a sprinkle of a classic house vocal sample. This one will keep you two stepping all night.

Rhode Ouveh really hits the jazz side of house music. With a lead rhode taking you on a journey through the track with some psychedelic pads to keep the party going.

Differences has a more Minimal flair to it with a calm rolling bassline, electrifying stabs and impacts. This is one for the late night vibes.

Finally, we welcome Lotrax to the label with a smashing remix of Can U Feel It. Lotrax is well known throughout the Minimal/Deep Tech scene with a number of charting releases. His remix for us is next level. The track consists of a crisp 303 bassline and vocal stabs which really put a new turn on the original track.

Next up we welcome Christian Bistany with his All Night EP. 
Christian  has started to build a fine resumé in 2020, while successfully honing in on his signature sound. His Musica EP with James Wyler, on Rawsome Deep, landed a #2 spot in the Beatport Minimal/Deep Tech Releases chart in the first week. With loads of music prepped for the coming months, he is as excited as ever to working hard at his craft.

All 3 tracks from the EP are a straight up minimal feel for those late night sessions.
All Night has a hypnotic vibe with a heavy rolling sub sprinkled with some moody stabs with a classic jazz vocal to bring the track together.

Nice People has a very similar feel, dark heavy subs and moody stabs to keep those feet 2 stepping until the early hours.

Finally, we welcome James Wyler to the roster. James as well as Christian has been making great strides in the Minimal scene with a number of charting releases. His remix really ties this whole EP together putting his own twist to the original A side.

Next up we welcome Ky William and Tokio with their Better Days EP.
Ky William and Tokio have been making great strides in the scene and they have teamed up on this fantastic project. 

Better Days is the A side of this EP which embodies the deeper side of the minimal scene with a rolling soft baseline and stabby chords, this one can start any set off.

The Park keeps the vibe going with an absolute belter of a track that very much compliments Better Days. They have created a great chord stabbing pad flowing track that's a straight up groover for late night vibes.

Finally, we welcome Botez to the roster. Botez thrills us with an outstanding remix of the A side Better Days, filling in a heavy kick and snares but keeping some main elements of the original while adding his own special touch. This is a real two stepper.
