Housepost #3

Some time ago I asked Donato to compile the “Rome” edition of the 200th podcast for electronique.it.

His response to this challenge is a techno mix that I can best describe as an intense, intimate and evocative portrait of the reality that is Rome. While drawing on a wide range of source material and inspiration from the past, he constructs a deeply personal mix that is directed towards the future. It is, in a word, epic!

The second release on UK producer Melé's Quadrants label is a dense, four-track tech EP from Callahan titled Fallacy. It maintains techno atmospherics, but houses a warped bassline and hi-hats on the ups that render it some genre-less clusterfuck of dance-able, dystopian aesthetics.

This months guest is the Berlin-based Techno producer, Live Act and DJ Ray Kajioka.
Ray is best known for his output on Kanzleramt Music. But also for his on Cocoon released EP "Never Ending" and remixes for artists like Joel Mull, Dave Clarke, Alexander Kowalski and many more. 

A striking aspect of his music is certainly the warm spheric and impulsive sound, which is constantly present in all his productions.
“The typical Ray-sound!”, as some call it simply, is appreciated all around the globe and had taken him to events international-wide.

His debut album "En Route" can be expected in March on Heiko Laux' Kanzleramt Music.
Besides that there will be also a remix for Nicholas Bacher, coming one month later in April, on Yan Stricker's !!Organism imprint.

BIO:
LoKKoTRONN, born and raised in Spain but living in New York City since the 2000s, he is the co-founder and resident DJ of the acclaimed Erratic emblem, established in 2011. 
Since its inception, Nico has been constantly refining and expanding his techno palette rendering the genre inextricable from his way of life and sensibility towards the arts and electronic music as a whole. His style when behind the decks can be characterized as a blend between melodic, acid basslines layered with poignant, driving rhythms that penetrate equally the mind as they do the body. 
His solo techno journeys under LoKKoTRONN have been featured on podcast series such as Monument as well as his co-run Erratic Podcast to name a few –the latter now being over 5 years old and spanning over 130 episodes. 
He is also involved in and part of the dynamic Dos Lokos duo, composed of himself and Erratic's second half Jason T., where outputs of their unique and powerful mixing have come to life on Strobe's and Input Selector's podcast series. Always in search of new sonic textures and enchanting melodies, LoKKoTRONN's mixing and penchant towards the cerebral are rare and timeless.
