A trippy Cover Version of Kraftwerk's Computer Love (1978)

Teruo Nakano was born on August 12, 1963. He joined one of P-Model's early incarnations and was also part of the touring band from 1986 'til 1988. He played on P-Model's "One Pattern" album (and composed for that album a track called "Call Up Here" which he re-recorded for his "User Unknown" album).
He can also be seen playing with the band on P-Model's 1988 video called "三界の人体地図". He, later on, co-founded a band called Long Vacation with Kera and Minosuke (1991-1995). Since 1996, he currently records and produces solo albums and does a few collaborative concerts with other musicians and singers.

On it, we find the trio - comprising Steve Davis (international snooker player turned modular synth enthusiast and player), Kavus Torabi (The Cardiacs, Guapo, Holy Family and more), and Mike York (Coil, Teleplasmiste, The Holy Family and more) - radiating blissful psychedelia, exploratory electronic sound and touches of spiritual jazz. 

To celebrate, they've put together Arrival in Utopia.

The 23rd Doctor And The 5th Beatle

Pipe Dreams was written for the organ in St. Peter’s Köln, which has two sets of pipes at opposite ends of the church. Each rank has separate sounds and stops that can combine to create microtonal intervals. Pipe Dreams is a structured improvisation, exploring antiphony and the specific sounds of that organ, extra-musical as well as musical. The tempos and exact notation are left open; the notation is just a musical skeleton for the actual notes played. Ornamentation occurs when the sound warrants it: i.e., to not only obtain musical results, but to make extra-musical sounds occur. The weather affected the sound and action of this organ, changing every day, so realization changed daily. The melodic material is very simplistic, because that is what created the most interesting resultant sounds. Mary Jane Leach-organ

For our 25th release, we'll be revisiting the work of singular Japanese musician Minoru ‘Hoodoo’ Fushimi. In 1983, a young Minoru was working from his home studio in Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture and determined his first release would be an ode to Japan’s musical heritage. Minoru had noticed the younger generation become increasingly disillusioned with traditional Enka songs and decided to breathe new life into the sentimental ballads of old. The multi-talented artist laid down the beat using a TR-606 and played all the additional instruments himself. 

The resulting tracks are two mutations from the energetic style of the originals into much darker and abstract versions, albeit managing to maintain the passion and spirit of the Enka genre. Minoru utilised a number of vocal distortions to honour the original vibrato singing style, executing the tracks in a way that was more of a mesh between early punk squelching of the late 70’s and Troutman’s funk-fuelled voice-box of the early 80’s. In true Minoru style, his vision overshadowed the accessibility and ironically the tracks fell short of their appeal to the younger generation he was aiming to inspire, yet resulted in two timeless renditions.
