The ever-impressive Mina Recordings is back this December with a digital-only release from Sasse, ‘Ekko Massala’ including a heavy hitting remix from label boss Masaya.

Since it’s formation in 2008 the small & perfectly formed label has delivered a string of successful releases in the realms of elegant house and techno. At the helm of Mina is swiss-based producer and selector Claudia Ayala who has been making waves with a series of impressive releases on labels such as NUM, Perspectiv and of course her own imprint Mina. The multi-talented producer and label head can boast an impressive roster featuring a plethora of talent with names like Ripperton, Nhar, Petar Dundov and Sabota & Grenier.

For this EP Claudia has invited the prolific production abilities of Sasse. The Moodmusic man utilises pulsating bass, shifting drums and brooding synths to map out an hypnotic and dynamic groove for his original ‘Ekko Massala’. On remix duty Masaya dishes up an expansive techno cut layered over lush melodies, driving baselines and captivating rhythms to wrap up the EP in powerful form.

Exactly two years after his first Sirion Release we proudly present MASTRA’s second 12“ titled
„Out of Nowhere“. This time around in collaboration with his buddy JON DONSON, who also
released his first EP on Sirion in Spring 2010.
The mood and structure of this latest coup entirely reflects the familiar yet different of the
Bernese natives MASTRA &amp; JON DONSON. For the first time in form of an exciting fusion of
individuals signed by both distinct handwritings.
„Out of Nowhere“ is a deep and, owing to a impulsive bass drum, repetitive Deep House
Track. This impression is given through a state of mind clearly offside of a classic course.
Nevertheless its bits and pieces remain stuck and arent easily banished.
PABLO BOLIVAR is known for his large spectrum of high quality compositions. Upholding that
standard he delights with yet another impressive interpretation. The subtly chosen synth
revive the base of the original track - an impulsive remix of vast variety.
The duo added another firecracker to this vinyl release with „Out of Pulpo“ and its distinctive
percussion and pressing sub bass. Perfectly suitable for the later advanced hours on the
dance floor and equally multifaceted as „Out of Nowhere“.
An original track apiece are the digital bonus. Let yourselves be surprised...

Next up on Greyscale are Italian duo known as Sibling with their new full length album. Previously they have released their music on Telrae, Dimbideep and a debut album on SK Black. The latter also included grad_u remix, supported by the legend Ben Sims, by the way.

This track is from June 2006. I found it on a backup drive whilst searching for something else. When I made it, I soon felt something is missing, it sounded old and nostalgic too me,  a dead end, a film watched way too often. Now, I feel even more distant to it. My musical interest moved away from anything that could be labeled 'minimal techno', a genre that became mostly totally empty, uninspired and formalized. However, I like the color of this track, this reminiscence to this certain sub-genre of Chain Reaction / post Basic Channel tracks.  If I would have done it in 1995 - fantastic.
