Amarcord debut for Me Me Me this March with ‘Age Of Intimacy’ featuring a remix from Running Back alum, Alan Dixon. After well-received releases on labels such as Ombra International, Correspondant, ROAM and AEON, Italy's Amarcord kicks off 2021 with a new EP on Man Power's Me Me Me label including a remix from Love Attack boss Alan Dixon. Amarcord is just at the beginning of his exploration into the sonic world with ‘Age Of Intimacy’ showcasing his flair for producing dynamic, synth-driven tracks influenced by the cosmic quirks of the 80s.

PREMIERE: Amarcord - Don't Be Sad It's Over, Be Happy Cause It Happened (Alan Dixon Rmx) [MeMeMe]

"Discoteca Italiana" is a contemporary interpretation of Italian club music from the past decades by @musumeci and 5 featuring artists.

The EP starts with "About Your Story" a joint opus with @andy-bros. A track with classic drum machines in a distinctive breakbeat pattern combined with orch hits, scratches performed by Italian Red Bull 3style champion @stonic and a voice that reminds us of the important things: "Passion, Soul, Glory".

The second track on the EP, "Bells of Freedom", a collaboration with @lehar-music, picks us up with driving arpeggios and a straight four by four beat.

Followed by "Go" a collaboration with @dodi-palese, a song inspired by a classic dance anthem. Rolling basslines, imposing tom fills and pads with a long release.

The fourth and last track is a symbiosis with @enzoelia. Tension is created by intrinsically quiet sounds, which are presented to the listener at a habitual more aggressive texture, carried by a spherical chant by Stefano Proietti.

It has been a long running gag at KOMPAKT that there is an adversity to our male staff having a mustache. The truth is that there are scarce few in the history of our company who have managed to get away with having a furry friend on their face. But due to the pandemic and lockdown, the staff Zoom meetings were confronted with an unprecedented snot mop overgrowth.

The solution was right under our noses. We had become entranced with a producer from Paris that has successfully managed to take the torch from the golden age of Gigolo fueled electro-pop and merge it with that signature Kompakt sexiness we crave and that we hope you hear in many of our club tracks.

He goes by the name of Captain Mustache. He has brought to Kompakt tolerance and acceptance for those who whistle with a bristle. Fred is anything but a crumb catcher and has an exemplary but short history of releases. Be it with Chicks On Speed, Correspondant, Bordello A Parigi or Helena Hauf’s Return To Disorder.  And now we present this fine double header. Play Paul (on vocals) joins for the title track called “Everything” and it is just that.  “Pulsions Organiques" brings a somewhat broken beat to his electro flavor saver tendencies. And an instrumental of “Everything” rounds things off for those who like it a little more lower brow.

Following recent appearances on Permanent Vacation, Mute and Correspondant, Terr makes a triumphant return to Phantasy with a deeply dreamy new single, ‘Wings of Time’. Marking Terr's third appearance on the label, and her first since 2019, 'Wings of Time' is complimented by a momentous remix from Tornado Wallace.

‘Wings Of Time’ serves to underscore Daniela Caldellas’ talents as both a producer and performer, a songwriter and a master of dancefloor atmosphere. Terr’s assured vocal performance once again takes front-and-centre, a warm beckoning light through a journey made of shimmering pads, wistful chords and defined by a powerful sense of groove. An instrumental edition further highlights the arrangement, which resolves with rare, cosmic catharsis.

Tornado Wallace appears to stretch the time Terr sings of on his elastic, tunnelling remix, grinding out every inch of tension and detail from the blueprint, expanding minds and widening eyes in the process. While Terr’s original will likely send dancers to the heavens, Wallace reverses the energy source for an unexpectedly bass-heavy interpretation that generates a different, earthier pleasure.
